Danger! Cuteness overload alert! It’s a parade of baby Sox, and no one is safe! Take a peek through a collection of photos of the Sox players as kids at your own peril- they’re just too adorable for words.

Who could this cute baby be? Take a guess, and find out if you’re right– and see a ton more baby Sox pictures– after the jump…

If anyone has any additional pictures of any of the Sox as kids, send ‘em my way and I’ll add them to the group.

Jacoby Ellsbury

Theo Epstein

Dustin Pedroia
(including two pictures with his older brother Brett)

Curt Schilling

Jason Varitek

Jon Lester
(with his younger cousin)

Tito Francona

Kevin Youkilis

Tim Wakefield

Josh Beckett

Doug Mirabelli

Mike Lowell

Trot Nixon (too cute not to include)

And our mystery Sox baby from up top was… Jonathan Papelbon. Here’s more of baby Paps, who may be the cutest Sox baby of all time.

Thanks to jason-varitek.com for the pictures of kid Tek, to surviving grady for the picture of kid Theo, the Farmington Daily Times for the yearbook photo of kid Jacoby, and the Boston Globe, Jonathan Papelbon and family for the pictures of kid him.

Alright TG, even you must admit Beckett was one fugly teenager. Thankfully, you gave us the cuteness of BabyPap to cleanse the palate.

Aww, Jacoby was so adorable even at that age! And Beckett really was no eye-candy.

WHOA. The first one of ‘Tek looks exactly like this kid from my eighth grade class (whom I detested, but anyway)… scary!

Does anyone else think that Jacoby could pass for a little girl with really short hair?

    Hilarious. All of them.

Where’d you find all of these pictures anyway? (Aside from the places you mentioned.) I’m sure the players just *love* the thought of their past selves floating around the internet for us to point and laugh at. :)

Awwww, poor unfortunate(looking) Josh. He definitely has grown finer with age.

And the pictures mostly all came from newspapers- the Globe in particular, and a paper in Bend, OR for the Jacoby picture. The only one I’m clueless where I found it is the Tito picture- but I’m pretty sure that was on a newspaper website at some point as well. The Papelbon pictures all were submitted by his mom (I believe) for a feature story on him last year.

poor josh…he was like the homely semi-fat kid you would talk to in class only if he was sitting next to you…thank god he can throw a mean fastball

LOL, Mirabelli looks exactly. the. same. Does anyone know how old he was in that pic?

And as for Beckett, I think it’s really just the first one that’s less-than-flattering; probably just a bad shot. The 2nd one looks fine though. (:

    Great pics of everyone!

The one of Paps in the Superman costume? It needs to be a poster.

Is that second picture of Dustin his Rookie card? >smirk

Apparently, I am the only one who finds the first Beckett picture adorable in that he looks really happy, unguarded, open. Clearly being superb at something has a price, cause he rarely looks this happy-goofy now (exceptions: WS and ALCS wins). No doubt some will report this to be a very good thing.

    Mike Lowell, always was yummy.

    Love the Tito pix.

Apropos of the SuperPaps needing to be a poster, would there be any ownership problems with making a Baby Sox desktop wallpaper? And would anybody else be interested if I were a dork enough to make one?
