Baby Dice-K Throws A No-No

Dan over at Red Sox Monster dug up this gem of a video from a no-hitter Daisuke Matsuzaka threw back in high school in the finals of the high school championship tournament. This is Dice-K at just 17 years old, pitching for Yokohama High School against Kyoto Seisho High School.

Wee little Dice-K is just too precious for words. I know you’re not supposed to describe a ballplayer as “precious” – but he just is. He’s rocking the high socks and the ballcap that is a size or two too big for his head… and it makes me just want to feed him some animal crackers and read him a bedtime story.

Awww, the best part is that he’s already wearing a “Yankee Hater” cap!

Awwwwww. He seems so silly in interviews when he’s happy…hopefully we get more of those next year, I really want him to do well for his own sake, not just the teams’s. I saw him outside of Fenway once loading luggage into his Bentley by himself, it seemed kind of sad haha.

Oh my GOD. He is so adorable! And wow, look at his pitching form TEN YEARS AGO. Wow. I’m only a couple years younger than he is when that was made. He’s so little! I hope he learns enough English soon to be able to give interviews and press conferences without a translator. He seems so silly and sweet.

Haha, I noticed the “Yankee Hater” thing too.
