The horror at the monstrosity they call the 2003 World Series ring seemed to be pretty universal – so I thought I’d share a couple of photos of Josh actually wearing the ring, so y’all would have a better idea of just how monstrously large it really is.
For comparison purposes, I’ve got a couple of photos of other players wearing other World Series rings after the jump…
Haha, that is ridiculous. I’m kind of amazed he could lift his hand up.. except not, because it’s Beckett, and he can do anything.

Think about it, Josh has HUGE paws. What does that ring look like on someone with small hands?? They must drag their knuckles on the rug. LOL Ugly and gawdy. Keep it in the safe deposit box Josh. This one will be better, I promise. LOL
Not many 27 year old players have 2 World Series rings like Beckett will have when they give him his early next season.
The Marlins one just has so much detail that it HAD to be huge…there’s a jewel encrusted baseball, the fish, team name and “world champions.” Maybe they got really small rings in ‘97 and decided to make up for it or something…
Seriously, Huck. His paws are MASSIVE. When he holds a baseball, it completely disappears into his palm. I can only imagine a ring that big would be a bracelet on Dustin Pedroia.
And I think the 1997 ring was probably just a tin one out of a bubblegum machine.
Bracelet? My mental image was something more like one of those WWF championship belts.
BTW…isn’t that picture of Shill just screaming for a “fill in the thought bubble” contest?
Josh does look handsome in that suit but please note the ratty bracelets peeking out from under the cuff that appear to match his fugly assortment of necklaces.
In the second pix, he’s got that darlin’ drunken Texan look going on. Very Entourage.

Lisa- You’re probably right. That picture was taken at his surprise birthday party down in Miami in ‘05- the one Ciara performed at. I’d imagine he’d had a beverage or ten.

Why does it seem that he’s hiding another ring in his left (our right) cheek in the second picture?
Honestly, it looks twice its normal water-retaining size. Right where it meets the other guy’s head.
great pictures of the monstrosity…even when you look at the 3 SuperBowl rings that the Pats have won (massive in size, too), the Marlins ring is still way uglier. I hope the ‘07 rings are as tasteful as the ones from ‘04.
