I always like seeing players win their first GG awards. It’s nice that the baseball writers spread the love around, instead of giving Player X their 10th award.

I think with Pedroia(and Tulowitzki for that matter), it’s more of a rookie bias. I Don’t think I’ve seen a rookie within recent history win a Gold Glove.

I admit I wish Pedro and Coco would have made the list as well- their defense this year was outstanding. But then again I am sort of biased in their favor.

Coco especially. It is a crime against humanity that Sizemore got the nod, and Coco (or even Curtis Granderson) didn’t get it.
