Piney--thanks so much for the link! That sounds so awesome. 120 minutes of undiluted Sox... as if I was there. :D

Now, why can't we just skip the next month or so?

Thanks for this info! I wonder if the exhibition games will be televised (esp. on ESPN). I'm going to have to get the directv sports package for the baseball season so I can watch NESN (in addition to the mlb extra innings package). I know that NESN doesn't show a lot of the Sox programming to people out of area, but I'll have to see how lucky we get ;-).

3am home opener. That's early, but I can do it. I'll have to add it to the days I need to take off. (Now if the A's will start selling single game tix I can get some to opening day in Oakland!)

If I had friends around my house who were big fans, I'd definitely plan a bit overnight w/ the Sox Opening Day Spectacular with them. Stay up all night, talk baseball, watch the WS DVD, hope for a pregame show, the usual.

Oh and speaking of NESN related goodness, apparently they're upping the ante with teh Spring Training coverage. How so?

<a href="http://news.bostonherald.com/jobfind/news/media/view.bg?articleid=1067063&srvc=home&position=also" rel="nofollow">http://news.bostonherald.com/jobfind/news/media/view.bg?articleid=1067063&srvc=home&position=also</a>

Apparently 2-hour live(LIVE!) coverage of a few selected workouts and probably some other good stuff too mixed in. I'm all for it, this winter can't be over with soon enough and come February 13 I will be amped and pumped and amped for Spring Training(the 11th is the real beginning for me for Spring Training because that's when the truck leaves Fenway for Fort Myers and usually early arrivals are there by then)
