Alright, I’ll come right out and say it… I AM a pink-hatter!!!!! But NOT because I wanted to be!!!! I got into the game this summer, BEFORE I knew ANYTHING about Jacoby…I actually went to the game where he made his amazing linedrive catch (you know the one, Sept. 2, you’ve seen the pictures!) And THAT is where the pink hat comes in…my dad won a raffle on our tour bus, and he picked the pink one for me…I didn’t have the heart to tell him I didn’t want to be that kinda girl! It’s the thought that counts- but I prefer the classic blue & red!!…So I finally ‘found’ him shortly after my birthday, which is his birthday too!!! I instantly fell in love!!!! He’s probably the most amazing thing since Leo DiCaprio in 1997! I don’t think he’s too pretty, but I can see what you guys mean…I don’t blame you ladies who aren’t in love…I, like some of you, am not really turned on by Brad Pitt, or Tom Cruise, or Zac Efron for that matter… But I AM that head over heels for Jacoby! I got to meet him, and it was seriously the best day of my life so far! I know, it’s a little teeny-bopperish… But believe me, I try to be mature about it…But I actually DO watch the game FOR the game!!! Jacoby is the reason, however, that I can stay up late through nine long innings and watch the entire thing! But I AM in it for the game, so don’t count me out!!! …I personally have had some difficulty’s getting a hold of the Men’s Vogue issue…But I can’t wait!!! Thanks guys for posting this! And thank you for letting me be Jacobycrazy!!!!!

I’m crazy for this guy. No questions about it. But I am NOT a pink-hatter. I like the game for the game and I squeal over Jacoby because he’s a great player (and, um, incredibly good-looking to the point where it’s kind of absurd).

Pedroia is hysterical! I would have loved to have seen him pose with a tire.

totally agree with you re: Coco. I’m actually of the mind that we could probably be just fine with either in CF, but I also think Coco deserves a spot as a starter–and I don’t think he has that in Boston. I’ll be very sad to see him go, but I also understand the situation he’s in.

Here’s just hoping the Vogue shoots won’t get in the way of JE being willing to take diving catches. Ballplayer first.

I get conflicted about Jacoby. I like him, yet I’m a big Coco Crisp fan. And it’s hard to fully embrace a guy who’s overtaking a personal favorite.

Yeah, I’m probably not being fair re: crankiness. Either way… there’s something that isn’t there for me. I think it was the glasses that did it.

Once I realized that he took his glasses OFF for pictures and would just hold them in his hand… that doesn’t work for me.

Boys in glasses are hot. Any guy who doesn’t want to be photographed in them is crazy. Yeah, I think that was it.

Nerds are the best.

Heck, I like to look at him, but I have also definitely noticed bad angles on him, plus sometimes he comes across as a little crankypants for my taste, like maybe he takes himself a wee bit too seriously. Maybe I’m wrong about that, but fc and TG, yeah, I’m over my initial infatuation. Love looking at him, don’t get me wrong, but I completely understand your position.

Also, about his girlfriend? Look, I have no problems with the girl–she seems really nice and down-to-earth, but she should probably get her sense of humor about the whole thing back pretty quickly…

(Yeah, speaking of crankypants, that’s me right now in a serious serious way, because I cannot get this stupid thing done.)

Nope, fc. I heart him like the rest of the team, but I’m not all googly over him. Then again, I’ve never gotten googly over Brad Pitt, either. I see objectively that they’re both (very) good looking, don’t get me wrong… neither of them inspire any kind of teenfangirly kiss-his-Tiger-Beat-poster kind of thing for me.
