Guess Who’s Back? (Me!)
Things That Happened Since I Last Posted:
1. I caught my first homerun – hit by this guy off of a pitch from this guy.
2. St. Patrick’s Day!
3. My computer barfed out on me. Which both prevented me from posting and from checking up on news and happenings. Which was awesomely freeing… and yet scary. But it’s all better now.
4. I finally had to leave sunny Florida after 12 days and 9 ballgames. Brought home a tan, a few baseballs tossed to me at games, a motley collection of scorecards and beer cups from the various ballparks, some leftover sand, and an orange baseball. No, seriously – a baseball that looks and feels like an orange. It was the lone souvenir I bought– commemorating the Indians last year in Florida… because who can pass up an ORANGE BASEBALL?
So I’m finally back and will be putting up catch-up posts on the fun stuff that happened while I was gone… because, it’s better late than never, right?

I hope you weren’t too offended by my call for a new post…I was getting frantic over here though, what with Lowell pulling a Sally Field and all.
dare I be a traitor and say that I think these new “RAYS” as they are now known are going to be kinda fun to watch this year. not because tthey’re any good, just becuase they still gots the devil in them! I am looking forward to more “screw it, we can’t win the division so we might as well start an Anchorman brawl” games. And I think we will have them. It will be like the MLB version of Slapshot. I really want to at some point be able to say that there were horses, and a man on fire, and Evan Longoria killed a guy with a trident!
Cole Hamels is the man. He threw me a ball a couple years ago. Of course catching a home run ball is a little better I would imagine.
TG, I’d like you to know that I am extremely, extremely jealous of your home run ball. Cole Hamels and Evan Longoria… wow. That’s a duo.

Unfortunately, no. I had two girls sitting on either side of me… WHO DUCKED. Some dude in the row behind me tried to run up and grab it from me. Little did he know, I don’t duck.
Oh, and Liza: random Reds player threw me a ball during BP, and a 3rd out ball from Pat Burrell in the OF.
They DUCKED? That’s incredibly lame. Cole Hamels and Evan Longoria… seriously…
Pat Burrell! That’s awesome, too. I’m jealous. I said that already, didn’t I?

I admit, I was more than a little excited about catching the HR. I’ve gone to hundreds of baseball games, and have never caught a game ball (foul or HR) ever.
