I can tell I’ve got a radio delay going here…

  2. 2008 April 23 at 8:18 pm

Nice! Out of the inning without giving up a run!

(Currently getting up some pictures of Jacoby as a Beaver just to be fair because I’ve posted Dustin as a Sun Devil already tonight…)

Bethie, I’m reasonably sure that Lugo is NOT 6-1. He doesn’t look anywhere near that when he stands next to Papi. I would guess 5-10 or 5-11. Maybe some more seasoned fans would know the scoop.

Nice Casey! How sweet is it that our bench players are so good?

Not a problem – I’ve got more, if you want. I can link to them…

    Jacoby’s so cute :)

I remember telling my sister (who lives in Oregon and has actually been to Madras!) about Jacoby during the playoffs last year. Unfortunately, at that point, being a NY native like me, she “couldn’t get past the rivalry” to get excited about the Sox. I wonder if she’d reconsider? There’s so much Pac-10 goodness and Oregon amazingness going on here, and the entire state has to be proud, I would think.

  10. 2008 April 23 at 8:26 pm

…oh, I think everyone needs to see this, because Jacoby seems a little less loose now. That’s not to say he’s all stiff and serious, because I know he’s not, but this is something I’ve never seen him do outside of this picture…

  11. 2008 April 23 at 8:26 pm

awww – we didn’t need that.

What a wonderfully silly pic, Steph!

  15. 2008 April 23 at 8:28 pm

    choco – yes, I’m Steph.

Lester – you need to stop doing that, okay? You looked great last inning – let’s see more of that.

ECL – I love the sheer Oregonianness of this team now. We have Jacoby, Jed and Pesky. ‘Nuff said. (One of my new goals in life is to go to Oregon, just because.)

Steph, I haven’t been out there yet (she moved there two years ago) because I can’t afford it, but from all the pics I’ve seen and everything she’s told me…it’s an AWESOME place.

    Nice DP!

Aside from it being absolutely beautiful (and being the final destination of one of my favorite old school computer games), one of my other motives includes, well, this kid from Salem…

I’ve been following Jed since he was down in the Minors – and in the Arizona Fall League last season, too. And when most people were worrying about Jacoby being traded, Jed was the one I panicked about.

Just got into my hotel room. Noticed that other people were having issues with mlb.tv. Is anyone getting it to work now? It said that I was in an black out area, which I know I’m not because I’m in Chicago! Grrr….

Btw, with that HR, Papi now has as many HRs as Ellsbury. Heehee, it was fun to say yesterday that Ellsbury had more HRs than Papi. =)

That’s really cool, Steph. These people I used to go to church with give my family Paw Sox tickets and it’s 5 rows above the dugout, so I see a lot of the guys coming up. My favorite is George Kottaras! :)

I like George! He actually homered today – I’ve got the PawSox game up on Gameday as I listen to the big club. They’re up 3-1 in the top of the ninth!

  38. 2008 April 23 at 8:43 pm

And now ladies and gemntlemen, heeerrre’s Mouthy Breather!

Danielle – aww, thanks! I wish I could say I actually took them…I just found them on the internet.

  41. 2008 April 23 at 8:45 pm

    B&W: Craig’s listed at roughly 6′7″-6′8″. Yeah, he’s tall.

  42. 2008 April 23 at 8:45 pm

That should have been “Mouth” not “Mouthy.”

  43. 2008 April 23 at 8:46 pm

Wait…Mouthbreather to me is Lenny DiNardo(long story behind this one). I think of Hansen as “Apnea-Free Hansen”

  44. 2008 April 23 at 8:46 pm

Is it wrong that I’m mindlessly staring at my TV right now just because both the pitcher and the batter went to Stanford?

    Damnit, Craig!
