I was going to say the same thing about the strapless dress. She’s definitely a cute person.

What is Kelsey doing in NY? Is that where she’s originally from.

  3. 2008 April 29 at 8:40 pm

I don’t mind at all. I’m just not saying that I wouldn’t throw either one out of bed.

    Dang it. I just did.

those dresses are very binding…lots of sucking in and tieing things really tight…usually makes the boobs look bigger….

Yeah, but Jacoby was raised Mormon, so hes more sophisticated, and i couldnt see him being like Clay…lol

  6. 2008 April 29 at 8:40 pm

ECL – If saying ‘no-hitter’ wasn’t working, I figured encouraging a longer game would get the bats going a little bit – then the players would do the whole ‘reverse psychology’ thing that seems to work so well around here…I hope…(crosses her fingers)

Of course, I inadvertently may have cost my beloved PawSox their game in Rochester. Argh. (is an idiot)

  7. 2008 April 29 at 8:41 pm

Kelsey and Jacoby met in college at Oregon State – her family lives in Oregon, if I recall correctly.

…I know too much about Oregon.

    Yes, Kelsey’s from NY.

    It’s karma Steph. Ask Earl.

Yeah really, about the Penthouse pets, LOL.

Hey, the WRKO guys are talking about Eckstein. Sounds like he’s about Dustin’s size. A wee one on each team…

Yeah, they met at Oregon state, but they were just friends. They Kelsey became a nanny in Maine and her and jsacoby were reunited because he was in Double A, and thats when they started dating.

  12. 2008 April 29 at 8:43 pm

Nice, Jon! This’s what we expected from him…he actually made it six innings!

I think Eckstein is a little taller than Dustin is, but I’ve never seen them next to each other, so…

she’s originally from Oregon and went to college with him. they were friends and started dating when she was living in Maine or something and he was with the Portland team. I read that she is a teacher in a private school in NYC now and lives in Manhattan. so that’s not a bad commute, I know plenty of people who do the Boston-NY thing. my first thought on seeing her getting on the plane to Japan was “how the hell did she get that much time off from work?”

why the hell do I know so much about Kelsey Hawkins? this is sad.

Lugo, Crisp and Pleats are up.

  15. 2008 April 29 at 8:44 pm

    Phil Hughes rocked again.

3 2/3 innings, 8 hits, 6 runs, 4 walks. plus he’s responsible for two men on base right now.

    Skanks losing 6-2 in 4th

  16. 2008 April 29 at 8:44 pm

Craig Hansen’s perfect ERA is in jeopardy…he’s put somebody on (by hitting them), and right now he’s letting some unearned runs in. If that runner he plunked gets in…

Phew, he got out of it! But Rochester is up 5-3…argh.

Ah, didn’t know she was from NY.

Steph, I’ll have to get my sis and brother in law to give me some good Oregon links to pass on to you(they’re in Portland). They’ve been to Madras, incidentally. Way out in the middle of nowhere, apparently.

  19. 2008 April 29 at 8:47 pm

(goes to check Portland) They’re also losing, down 4-0 in the bottom of the fourth…could somebody win? (Looking at you, big club. Set the example so Portland comes back.)

    (drools) …Oregon…

    (is pathetic)

Actually, that’s a really sweet story about reuniting all the way on the other side of the country. For some reason I thought that he played in Portland, OR. Didn’t realize it was the one in Maine. Guess it was just the Oregon thing on my mind.

I always thought the Portland/Portland thing would be a bit of a point of confusion in the clubhouse, at least with Jed and Jacoby: “So in Portland – ” “Which one?”

Can we, y’know, do something here? At least seeing Lester go six is nice…

How many pitches dose Lester have so far?

  25. 2008 April 29 at 8:50 pm

36 outs in teh game, 24 via the groundball.

    Eckstein has 10 assists.

No, tube top’s my name for it. I guess the high fashion world would say strapless. ;) Either way, it’s totally played out. When everyone wants the tube top gown regardless of whether or not such a style actually looks good on them (and on many it doesn’t) it’s gone too far. Look at the wedding pages in your local paper; I guarantee 95% of the brides are in strapless gowns.

  27. 2008 April 29 at 8:51 pm

    76 coming into the inning.

  28. 2008 April 29 at 8:51 pm

…the radio just gave me a total heart attack…

  29. 2008 April 29 at 8:52 pm

Halladay has thrown an economical 71 pitches through 6 innings.

Lester is just doing amazing tonight! If we dont get runs im gonna friggin flip out. because that will mean that the last 3 starters were absolutely amazing, yet we still cant get a friggin win!

    (knock on wood abt Lester)

  31. 2008 April 29 at 8:54 pm

Is it just me, or do our pitchers only work this well when the bats aren’t doing their job and vice versa? Just a thought…

    Somebody hates us. Meh.

yeah, exactly, if only we could get the bats working when the pitchers are working…they’re out of sync right now.

and I think this might be Lester’s best outing yet.

what the hell bats – wake the fuck up!!!

  39. 2008 April 29 at 8:57 pm

Steph- I wrote this on Monday about that.

What is going on with the Boston Red Sox besides the flu bug is quite normal in the game of baseball.

Sometimes, the pitchers will be lights out while the bats are stagnant. The reverse is true as well. When both are coming together at the same time is usually when you see teams go on winning streaks.

I’ve been around this game too long not to know that.

It happens. nothing you can do about it either.

  46. 2008 April 29 at 9:00 pm

It does…I almost wish they could have had two off-days instead of just one, if only because the 20 games in a row was definitely showing its effect at the end there…

C’mon, Youk, you have a hit tonight – let’s see it!

Aw, I’m sorry, ECL. Then again there’s days I wish I was single again, mostly so I don’t get embarrassed by my husband catching me ogling cute baseball boys. :D
