So I had to look up Rusty Greer…there are some apparently recent pics on Google Images and he looks like a reasonably nice-looking guy, considering that I don’t go for that physical type.

  2. 2008 April 18 at 10:59 pm

And that was so wrong of me. I apologize. OK back to writing my recap.

  3. 2008 April 18 at 10:59 pm

yeah the “stay here” tag on nesn says they’re going to talk to lowrie! MY FRIDAY NIGHT IS COMPLETE.

  4. 2008 April 18 at 11:00 pm

It’s fine, Ian. Really, I didn’t take it in a bad way at all. Actually, I thought it was pretty funny! =D

ecl, the red-headed baseball player? I now wonder why I thought he was good-looking ;)

    Awesome, Jenny!

I had a thing for Lou Merloni for a while and he’s 13 years older than me.

I thought it was funny too, nj! Jenny, I hope you enjoy the Lowrie interview.

And on that note, I’m going to start looking at video clips on this site and Ian’s site, so I can go to bed with an extra big smile on my face. See everyone tomorrow evening!

Whoops, I refreshed the page and more comments came up. Rusty, maybe it’s me being tired, but I don’t quite get what you just said. Do you mean “what was I thinking?” I’ve definitely been there…

Have they talked to Lowrie yet? I was catching up on The Office I missed last night.

I had a thing for Harrison Ford for a while, and he’s, umm…*counts*…36 years older than me.

ecl, yes, I mean “what was I thinking finding Rusty Greer hot?” He’s only 39 now and he looks fifty-something.

Well, Rusty, I was waiting to see what you said before I posted, but a lot of guys don’t age well, especially fair-skinned guys. Look at Curt Schilling and Roger Clemens, for example. And red hair is a fleeting glory in itself. I totally adored one of my high school classmates, I’d call his hair golden ginger brown. It was right in between but his eyes were green and he probably would have been considered a redhead. Looked him up on the Internet last year and actually found a picture and wished I hadn’t. The pic was taken when he was 48 and he looked bloated and pasty. Still had all his hair but it had turned brown (and perhaps even that was out of a bottle). So although I’m not familiar with what Rusty Greer looked like in his prime, I’m not surprised that he aged badly.

did anyone catch the hilarity that was Jon Lester and Clay Buchholz sitting in the dugout throwing seeds at the camera?

Yes, Katie! I really wish they’d use more footage from that camera. It’s a little intrusive but I bet they get a lot of cuteness.

  16. 2008 April 18 at 11:18 pm

Aw, I didn’t get to see it (kicks herself for living too far away to get NESN). Hopefully (hint, hint) TG or Ian will be able to get some footage up!

That must have been the same camera that caught Manny snuggling Dustin last night. I watched part of that video (am about to go watch the rest) and noticed plenty of cuteness while Manny was sitting there running his mouth prior to the moment with Dustin. What a bunch we’ve got on this team!

ok, cats and dogs, it’s been an awesome night, but bed is calling.

i’ll be at work tomorrow night; give lester love for me! GO SOX.

ecl, I just looked at more pictures of him, and he WAS cute when he was younger, I take that back. But he is the epitome of redheads not aging well.

at least there were no major injuries or intentional pitchings at batters this time…hehe.

i totally loved the fact that Lester and Buchholz were goofing around in the dugout as well. kinda made my night…

& when Ortiz hit that grand slam and he was attacked in the dugout afterwards…priceless ;)

Ian’s got footage of the Papi GS and the subsequent dugout reaction.

I just saw the Casey Crawl for the first time – maybe the cutest thing I’ve seen in a few days. “I’m safe! It’s ok!”

    I’m going too.

  27. 2008 April 18 at 11:30 pm

I know, Abby! The “Casey Crawl” is so cute!
    Here, Casey explains:

“I was having a great time when I fell,” Casey reported today. “I go to Jeter, ‘Can you get an APB out on that sniper?’ He’s like, ‘Hey, Case, don’t worry about it, nobody’s watching this game tonight.’

“I go, ‘We’re not on ESPN, are we?’”

  28. 2008 April 18 at 11:47 pm

I’d have to think our hostess will be getting the video up of the Lowrie-Papi thing as well as Clay and Lester.

thanks as always Texy for hosting.

Quite a game! I’m sure you east-coasters are asleep.

Lester and Buchholz throwing sunflower seeds at the camera was a riot. Did you see Beckett doing what looked like using rubber bands between his fingers as a slingshot? My husband and I were cracking up at that. Too funny.

Jed had an awesome game! I hope he gets some more time at SS so we can see more.

  30. 2008 April 19 at 12:09 am

Hey everyone! I’ve been busy and I’m going on vacation starting tomorrow. Yipee, but I’m missing the games (wah!). I did catch Clay and Jon tossing seeds at the camera and completely cracked up, though. That was hilarious…
