If Baltimore loses today, the Rays, Red Sox and Orioles will all be tied for first place in the American League East.

Wherever Josh’s postgame conference may be, can someone please post it later? Thanks!

since they are on the road, you won’t get a full press conference from commander kickass. probably just a couple of snippets

    How about this one, Meghan?

  9. 2008 April 27 at 4:16 pm

Playing Sweet Caroline after that just seems mean.

I hate Tampa Bay, At least Sox fans don’t need stupid things like Cowbells to be heard.

I didn’t know I hated Tampa Bay until a couple of days ago. But yeah.

Lester vs. Halladay Tuesday. So that probably means four innings of Halladay vs. the Sox Bullpen. Fun!

Tampa is still my second favorite AL team:-D

I feel like I did after the Toronto series…the games sucked but I think the team just needs a break. I’ve said all along if they get out of April at .500 I will be happy. And that was before the flu and all the injuries.

Well, gals and Ian…I need to try to redeem this weekend’s lack of personal productivity. Lots to do here. My good intentions got lost in a sea of baseball up until this point.

I so totally hope that a day off and the sight of The Monster and the Fenway Faithful will rejuvenate our guys. Looking forward to Tuesday night. And I promise to create my LJ account between now and then (LOL, then let the fun begin as you all teach me what to do with the damn thing!). Until then…over and out.

Josh “I’m not that athletic” Beckett, with his 13 strikes, faces the press.

May I add: I am despondent to have been swept by the Rays. It is not my happy place.

  22. 2008 April 27 at 4:58 pm

Same here, starr. And feeling the need to wallow.

Meghan, the Rays are my probably my second-favorite AL team, too.
Up until this series, I’ve always felt kind of bad for them…. I mean, they’ve never made playoffs–ever, and they’ve never had a season over .500. I understand that that’s only because they’re still a new team, but in a pathetic kind of way, I sometimes secretly wish that they’ll do well. (But I’d never wish that they’ll do well against us!)

That game(and series) certainly sucked, but I said at the beginning of the month that I would be happy if they had a .500 record after April, and so far they are 3 games above .500, so I can’t really complain about anything.

At least our pitching has looked better over the past few games, and the hitting will come sooner or later.
