Amazing that the NY game was called when their wetness factor was considerably less severe.

While it’s still raining, and there have been no updates on the rain situation, the TV schedule this weekend is complicating things even more.
Because the Red Sox are playing on Fox tomorrow and on TBS on Sunday, that makes switching game times all but impossible. So the Sox likely wouldn’t be able to play a doubleheader either day (no games are allowed to go up against the Sunday night ESPN exclusive window).
We’ve been looking at mutual off days on the schedule. There appears to be one on June 26, which would be at the end of a Sox homestand (before the team heads to Houston) and in between games in Atlanta and Minnesota for the Brewers. I doubt that would go over well with either team.
That being said, it looks ugly around here, but there have been no announcements about this game being postponed tonight.
There was a big cheer just now from the crowd on hand — the Celtics game was put up on the scoreboard in centerfield.
I don’t care if the game starts at 10:30, I just want some baseball. Please.

I’m so sad it’s on rain delay. :( I’m babysitting and I don’t really have much else to do besides watch TV (I feel bad going all over the internet on someone else’s computer) and the kiddo is already in bed. I guess I could invade their DVR library… I think they have House. =D
jayson werth has 3 home runs for the Phillies against the Jays and it’s only the 5th inning.
Jayson Werth may be the skeeviest ballplayer around, but he can smack some taters for sure.

My amateur weather opinion says it will be at least 10 PM before this thing starts. They didn’t have a chance to get the field ready plus the rain has at least another hour or so..
Tonight’s game has been postponed due to rain.
It will be played tomorrw in the second game of a split doubleheader (separate admission). First game at 3:55 p.m, second game at 8:35 p.m.
If you’ve got tickets for last night’s game, they are good for the night game.
Go home and get some sleep.
Well at least it’s a Friday.
Oops. That last one was me.
Games banged until tomorrow night.

Well harrumph, that doesn’t help little ol’ me down here in North Carolina! Oh well…two out of three ain’t bad, as they say.
I’m bummed it’s not on. However it is probably a good thing, since I leave for the airport at 2am. Going back to Boston, will be at Fenway Thursday.

Welp, I arrived late to the party to find out it has been rescheduled. Meh, mother nature is a cruel wench at times.
Hopefully I’ll be home in time to see the game tomorrow afternoon. I’m going to see the Pawsox v. the SWB Yankees tomorrow.

Thanks, Liza! I seriously cannot wait. It’s my first ever PawSox game and my first game at PNC Field since they were taken over by Satan’s baby pinstripes. The park used to be the home of the Red Barons. But now, the enemey has nested which means I have to further defend my Sox fandom even more seeing as how I now technically live in (gulp) Yankee territory.
I’m giddy though. Very giddy.

I can’t imagine how tired the guys will be after two games today (one starting at 8:35!) and playing early tomorrow. I sure hope that tonight’s game (the makeup) is shown in EI.
