Way to go, Sunbeam.
Okay, BucKK…
Sweet pitch, Clay.
god i love that dirty, dirty curveball. nnnnnnngh.
YEAH BRANDON
MOSSIE!!!!!!!!!!
NICE, Sunbeam!!!
SUNBEAM!!!
yeah Moss…
oh HELLS yes b-moss! also, TEK. nice work, boys.
Radio delay! Looking forward to the replay…
When will they learn, you can’t run on Brandon Moss.
Refresh my memory, please…how did he come to be called Sunbeam?
The guy sitting behind me at Fenway on Wednesday was totally in love with Moss. It was funny. I said something about Drew and he just would not hear anything I said.
Wow, great catch by Bartlett.
I just can’t bring myself to refer to him as “sunbeam” – mostly because it seems entirely too sweet, and he’s very much a man’s man.
Has anyone else noticed that the center field camera seems to be in a slightly different position the last couple nights? It seems like it’s maybe a little higher and angled down more. I’m definitely not imagining it, so I hope someone else is seeing it, too.
Yeah Mikey!
That was a great camera angle on the replay from behind of Mossy’s throw.
My roommate knows my affection for Casey and Moss, so anytime either of them are shown on screen, she hollers, “WHO’S THAT?!?” She does not holler that at Beckett, however.
It’s all in your head Erin.
Nope, Erin – it’s definitely not just you. They moved the camera angle a few days ago. I saw a blog post somewhere about it- but for the life of me, can’t remember where.
Nah, Ian, I know my camera angles. It’s been a little different.
b-moss apparently attempted to put a peanut butter sandwich into a toaster, thus: sunbeam (as dubbed by his minor league teammates).
Thanks. I knew I was right. It’s been driving me crazy. I want it to go back the way it was. This feels awkward.
I totally channeled Youk at my softball practice yesterday. I got nailed with a pitch in the elbow.
Erin if you tilt your TV screen a little, you get the camera angle back you’re used to. :D
I don’t like it either but at least they’ve gotten rid of the annoying sound effects
jenny- I still can’t hear that story without thinking, “RYAN STARTED THE FIRE!” (Office shoutout)
Ian, YES. The frigging “fshoom!” effect they had whenever a pitch over 95 MPH was thrown? SO glad they got rid of that.
I LIKED THE SHOOM-SHOOM!
Liza: were you completely bald, with a large goatee and sweating like a mofo all over your head? :)
It annoyed me. >.>
But they still do have the annoying “Call to the Bullpen” graphic. Still bugs me.
Ah, okay, now I remember the toaster story. For some reason I was thinking it had to do with the polite Southern boy thing that was very evident in the postgame the other night. I half expected him to say, “Well, bless your heart!” or some other Southernism.
c’mon, stickbug. BRING IT.
er, random question. Has anyone ever noticed that blondish guy that sits a little to the left of homeplate during just about every game?
..just wondering. :]
The dang Hawks just won’t go away. C’s up 3 at the end of the 3rd.
TG, not quite. But I am the (backup) first base(wo)man.
well maybe if you were bald and had a goatee, you’d be the starting first base(wo)man
blood and whiskey, yes. I always refer to him as “Robert Redford.”
I’ll get right on that.
(Something makes me think the officials would doubt I was eligible for high school softball, though.)
I think it’s safe to say that if she was bald and had a goatee, she’d be the starting first baseMAN.
Robert Redford, you say? I need to check him out, I think.
Not nearly as attractive, but just an older man with blondish hair. When I was watching a game in standard definition, that’s who he reminded me of.
Robert Redford, huh?
..I usually call him “Uncle Lauren.”
Clay, getting out of jams is only cool in the late innings. Just get outs now.
ruh roh stickbug. work it out, kiddo. work it out!
*he looks just like my, guess who, Uncle Lauren*
Of course, with this new camera angle, the front row appears to be hidden behind the banner at the top of the screen, which makes it much more difficult (read: impossible) to see him.
