I didn’t know Mike had a book out…what is it called?

  6. 2008 May 6 at 7:04 pm

Hey all. Finished my first and only final today but I gotta show up for school tomorrow to go look at our news show thingies. So that’s pretty cool.

The Mikey Lowell book? My friend said that Beckett did the foreword, is that true?

I ordered my Mikey Lowell book today. I can’t wait to get it.

Tito’s juggling his outfielders dealing with a difficult situation, showing what a deft baseball and people manager he is – although he’s been ‘helped’ in this regard by illnesses and injuries.

It’s called Deep Drive. And yes, Josh wrote the forward.

I kinda wish Ells would play when Cash catches…cause we could have innings that go Cash-Lugo-Coco. Yikes.

  11. 2008 May 6 at 7:10 pm

Ells should play every damn day!!! lol.

  12. 2008 May 6 at 7:11 pm

Hiya! Glad to be here, better late than never. Just walked in the door from voting (I have NEVER seen that many people show up for a primary!). Time to change out of my work clothes, throw supper together…and enjoy the game.

    C’mon Manny!

  13. 2008 May 6 at 7:12 pm

But it sucks, because Jacoby went 0-5 last night, and im sure that that impacted Tito’s decision.

i just wish that they would sit Coco, so then he says “ok, i want to leave” but they cant do that until moss and kielty come back…ughh =(

I need to get that book…

  15. 2008 May 6 at 7:16 pm

Lindsay, the issue isn’t whether Coco wants to leave, it’s whether a good deal for a trade presents itself. Of course they do have to wait until they get the rest of their potential bench back.

  16. 2008 May 6 at 7:18 pm

this doesnt have to do with the sox– but check it out, its pretty interesting:

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/After-1-561-days-a-young-man-finally-takes-off-?urn=nfl,80972

but i dont understand the last part? wearing a jersey for 70 hours is a record? that seems pretty easy to do…and how does he have the new record if this little boy wore it for 1561 days? Hmm, a typo maybe?

  17. 2008 May 6 at 7:19 pm

Jacoby’s 0-for-5 didn’t factor into Tito’s decision at all today.

If you’ve paid attention when Coco is healthy, he starts against left-handed pitchers. And if you’re paying attention, Nate Robertson throws the ball with his left hand.

  18. 2008 May 6 at 7:19 pm

Yeah, but i mean pressure him off the team so he’ll take whatever offer comes to him…lol jp

Coco isn’t the one that decides if he gets traded. He can be as unhappy as he wants but if the Sox don’t get an offer Theo likes, Coco will stay.

  25. 2008 May 6 at 7:26 pm

definitely check out mike’s book – it’s called “deep drive” and he wrote it w/ rob bradford of the herald (who is awesomesauce). beckett’s forward is all awkward and heartfelt and book-report-y. ;D totally worth the $23.95 (says the bookseller).

Yes– I’m going to take every hit and run and strike tonight as a tribute to my awesome brain.

    :)

From the Sox especially, but I’ll also take some Tiger tributes as well.
