Where’s TG tonight? She’s missing my party!

Someone save one of the e-cupcakes for her.

    I was wondering. :D

My first baseball boyfriend was the original Pudge – Carlton Fisk.

mhc: Hospitalist = good choice. Our residents (family medicine) do a lot of rotations with them. I like geriatrics even better. There will be a huge demand for them as time goes on. And a fellowship in it is only a year, at least where I work. All I know about anesthesiology is that it pays extremely well.

Ellen: You’re not alone — I have a masters in vocal music education and now enter stuff into the medical records at a residency program.

Hi, I love this blog and I don’t normally post during games, but this has been bugging me. Has anyone else noticed that it looks like Dustin Pedroia went all Kevin Youkilis and shaved his head? It really looks like he did and my roommate and I have been trying to figure it out. Does anyone know what I am talking about? Maybe I am just crazy.

Ellen – I’m way out west in Asheville. I work for a residency program that is affiliated with UNC Chapel Hill, but we draw residents from all over the country. I’m in the family med division, but we also have ob/gyn and dental, as well as fellowships in geriatrics and sports medicine, and plans are currently in the works to have a rural track branch of the UNC-CH School of Medicine for 3rd and 4th year students.

It is SO GOOD to see Wake doing such a great job. I was a little worried after his last start.

Cool! I’ve heard great things about Asheville and how artsy it is. My sis is a hem/onc and went to duke and did her res there and now she’s at dana farber.

Fudge? I don’t know that part of DF. Sounds like a good treatment though.

  40. 2008 May 6 at 8:58 pm

    Awww, Pleats…

Ellen: AVL is artsy, but in many ways it’s a mixed bag. It’s a “blue” island in a red area, and the locals have a lot of issues with the newcomers, and there’s a HUGE amount of development that is a) crowding the infrastructure and b) ruining the lovely scenery.

mch: I’m losing track — what did you specialize in prior to your MPH? Are you currently working in general/primary? I’d say that’s the best path to hospitalist!

Ellen: Hem/onc = angels walking among us. I have so much respect for them.
