My dad was watching something else but I had him change it to the game during commercials. K Cash is up, 2 balls and 2 strikes, he keeps fouling off–just prolonging the inevitable. I said, “You can the channel, it’s okay.”

Probably just seconds after we changed the channel, he hit the homer.

that was one of those “adorable” homers in which I just go “awwww!” I don’t know how to describe it other than that. the 3-year drought increased the awwww factor for me. Pedroia’s homer in the ALCS in which he jumped into Papi’s arms after also had the adorable factor for me. when Manny homers, it’s badass and gets a fist-pump. when Little Kevin Cash does it? adorable. gets a big smile and a squeal, as if a baby had done it.

(and I don’t know how tall he is, so nobody get offended, but he looks little on tv to me!)

Give me a break. It didn’t even matter in the end. It wouldn’t have made a difference anyway because Delcarmen would have been in the game instead of Hansen and there would have been no loaded bases.

Never in my life have I heard someone say, He is here just for his catching. His hitting doesn’t matter. That is a joke. His hitting does matter. He is useless. You can’t just not have someone on the team as an automatic out.
