Whoa, this is up really early.
Hi, if anyone else is here!

  2. 2008 June 1 at 1:01 pm

Just stopping in before heading out to enjoy the game with REAL LIVE PEOPLE. Have fun, kids.

  3. 2008 June 1 at 1:02 pm

it’s good to be home. felt weird doing it myself last night.

So does that mean we are REAL fake people. LOL. Have fun fc.

Is anyone else having trouble logging into MLB.com? To listen to GameDay Audio, I need to be signed in, but for some reason I can’t…

  7. 2008 June 1 at 1:26 pm

Hey all…yes, it’s good to be home, although Ian was a wonderful host last night.

Thought I’d be missing the beginning of this game for a haircut, but my back dictated otherwise. I’m sure Ian can relate to this predicament (leaning back against hot pack).

  8. 2008 June 1 at 1:28 pm

nj, I just logged in w/no problem.

(running back to stove to finish fixing oatmeal)…

    Hi All!

What a game last night! I’m still stoked for Manny. NESN just showed a video montage of “Manny being Manny.” I LOVE this guy.

ecl, I hope your back feels better!

An extra-innings thriller on Friday, and Manny’s 500th homr run yesterday, I wonder what today’s game will bring.

  11. 2008 June 1 at 1:35 pm

Thanks jules! It’s just extra cranky today…happens now and then.

And I would have to say that only the most vitriolic Yankees partisans could do anything other than love Manny. What’s not to love? Although I must admit I’m not fond of his “cow chewing cud” thing, LOL.

  12. 2008 June 1 at 1:36 pm

jules they showed that montage last night plus another one set to linkin park. I’m just glad they showed the manny being manny one again because the one i have in my post was all black & white at times.

    It’s good to be home.

  13. 2008 June 1 at 1:37 pm

i know your pain ecl. I have this new medication called lyrica which works great.

  14. 2008 June 1 at 1:37 pm

    Yay Jacoby!

It is nice to have a home for this one. I didn’t know what to do with myself after Manny’s 500th as I needed to talk to someone but nobody in my house wanted to talk!

Hey guys! Looking forward to today’s game. Who is this guy Jeff Bailey? He sounds kinda familiar…

  16. 2008 June 1 at 1:38 pm

and if you haven’t heard the news on Big Papi but it’s not good. He’s heading back to boston tomorrow for an MRI

  17. 2008 June 1 at 1:38 pm

bailey plays in pawtucket. was up last year for the sox for a bit.

  18. 2008 June 1 at 1:39 pm

That’s weird, ecl. I keep getting an error…

  19. 2008 June 1 at 1:39 pm

Ian, I’m on so many meds that I’m reluctant to take on any more. And I’m trying to handle the back stuff w/o meds other than Tylenol.

Liza, it’s good that you and I and a few others found each other later in the evening. Poor Ian had to put up with my incoherence when it happened.

I thought Papi was just day-to-day.

  21. 2008 June 1 at 1:40 pm

Jessi, he was positively raking at Pawtucket earlier. He had a brief stint up here last summer.

    Awww. Poor Superman.

  22. 2008 June 1 at 1:40 pm

i dont know about that call. ok it doesn’t seem like that bad of a call. it was close.

  23. 2008 June 1 at 1:41 pm

Papi is day-to-day. but it’s not looking good.

    Crap!

I guess he has to get caught some of the time.

Jacoby was caught stealing? Was that the close call?

  26. 2008 June 1 at 1:42 pm

Jeff Bailey had 16 home runs and 44 RBIs in 179 ABs in Pawtucket.

    Manny! Love you Manny!

Avery, it was really, really close. At first it looked questionable but in slow-mo he was pretty clearly out.

  29. 2008 June 1 at 1:43 pm

    almost 501

  30. 2008 June 1 at 1:45 pm

ecl it felt weird with me having people over to my site like that but I was happy to help out. But I will say this again and again.

    It’s good to be home

  31. 2008 June 1 at 1:45 pm

    That’s a great sign–

    “Don & Jerry’s all-nautral commentary”

  32. 2008 June 1 at 1:48 pm

Ian, thanks for providing us all with a home–and I must say, that preview-as-you-type script is pretty awesome.

Yeah, Ian I agree. I also like that it remembers your name ;)

  34. 2008 June 1 at 1:51 pm

Y’all are welcome. Just remember that it’s a backup. I like it here and don’t want to step on my friend Texy’s toes at all.

She’s been a gracious host all season for putting up with us and I thank her for that immensely.

    Pretty nice inning by Colon.

Now how about scoring some runs?

  36. 2008 June 1 at 1:52 pm

nj, did you try rebooting? (I know that’s pretty much a given, but just in case)…

Ian, I was multitasking during the latter part of last night’s game and got distracted enough to miss exactly what happened with Papi that hurt his wrist. Can you elucidate please?

And yes, there’s noplace like home (clicking heels three times)…

  37. 2008 June 1 at 1:53 pm

so they call Lowell safe on that when it looked the same as when tacoby almost stole second.

    Mikey’s got wheelz!

  40. 2008 June 1 at 1:54 pm

papi swung at a pitch and felt something pop in his wrist and had to leave the game with a 3-2 count.

  41. 2008 June 1 at 1:54 pm

    Yeah, MikeyLOL!…go Tek!

  42. 2008 June 1 at 1:54 pm

Of course–TG’s absolutely fantastic and I love this site, that goes without saying. But I was saying thank you for putting up with us for that one night as well.

And yes, that call looked pretty much identical.

Mikey’s quote about him having wheels still makes me laugh, just like Casey wanting to feel like Ellsbury. Oh, I love this team.

  48. 2008 June 1 at 1:58 pm

i knew what you meant liza. and you’re welcome. i didn’t mind at all. me like you, felt lost last night.

Avery – what are the quotes?

    Avery permalink

“After the error, Lowell singled to left off Chad Bradford (2-2), then took off for third following Youkilis’ single. “Wheels,” Lowell said.”

“Let me feel what he feels just once,” Casey begged. “Let me get on first and feel what he feels just once.”

    Too funny
