Good luck with the lawyer. I’ve been fortunate that the couple times I’ve needed a lawyer, i’ve had great ones.

  2. 2008 July 19 at 4:53 pm

    Izteresting, fc. ;)

  3. 2008 July 19 at 4:54 pm

what would a baseball game be without our daily viva viagra ad.

Why would anyone want to take a viagra during a Red Sox game unless you’re lined up so you both can watch the game.

  4. 2008 July 19 at 4:54 pm

I forgot about that, Ian, while I was mired in my own week o’ suck. Glad it’s mostly(?) ok.

And hey, what better place than Tex’s blog to trash lawyers. ;)

  5. 2008 July 19 at 4:54 pm

My lawyers been great up until now. A return phone call would have been nice.

  6. 2008 July 19 at 4:55 pm

Sending unsuck vibes to both fc and Ian.

I’m sure our Texy is a great lawyer. Plus I could never trash her. She’s the bestest.

  9. 2008 July 19 at 4:56 pm

Appreciate the vibes, ecl. Lionel Hampton was my favorite.

  10. 2008 July 19 at 4:56 pm

    Nice one huh Jules :D

  12. 2008 July 19 at 4:58 pm

and fc your week will get better, the Red Sox return home next Friday so it’s something to look forward to.

It’s Life Be in It day in Newington today by the way. Fireworks tonight.

  14. 2008 July 19 at 4:59 pm

Now THAT’S the kind of GIDP I love!

  15. 2008 July 19 at 4:59 pm

Ian, wish you could’ve told that “nice one” to the guy I met last Friday at Fenway. /oops, TMI

  16. 2008 July 19 at 5:00 pm

    Details fc details

  17. 2008 July 19 at 5:01 pm

    I second that question, jules.

    You’re welcome, fc and Ian.

I’m looking forward to the return to Fenway myself. The West Coast schedule means basically no baseball for me during most of this coming week.

  18. 2008 July 19 at 5:02 pm

at least that wasn’t the wrist he hurt diving

  19. 2008 July 19 at 5:03 pm

OMG, Life Be In It Day!
I cannot sully the solemnity of the holiday with sordid details of my escapades.

Oh, very excited about the Red Sox coming home cause I have tickets to Friday night’s game!!

    Jules, do tell.

  21. 2008 July 19 at 5:06 pm

YES!!! And, toting a birthday sign for one of my friends! Care to venture who’ll be pitching? I think it’ll be Wake but I’m not positive. Big Papi is slated to return that evening.

  23. 2008 July 19 at 5:08 pm

I will b e there too. I do not own a Madonna mask. I do own several Madonna CD’s however, which is probably worse.

  24. 2008 July 19 at 5:09 pm

Awwww, Manny. I heard you SMACK that thing. Too bad…

  25. 2008 July 19 at 5:09 pm

Why do we keep lining lasers right to their fielders?

  26. 2008 July 19 at 5:10 pm

We could meet for an overpriced beer, if you want.

BTW, Beckett is kicking ass today.

  27. 2008 July 19 at 5:10 pm

Yay for Papi returning — and games on TV next weekend so I can see him with my own eyes! :D

  28. 2008 July 19 at 5:11 pm

Starr it should be Beckett on Friday night, Wake on Saturday and Dice-K Sunday.

  29. 2008 July 19 at 5:16 pm

Ian, I think Boston may be copying Newington.

Don’t tell me Beckett is pitching Friday. I was supposed to be at that game. Our plans changed and we had to sell our tickets. grrrrrrr

No!!!! Ya think I could get that lucky? I’m getting a lottery ticket, or maybe I shoulda done that when I bought the tix in Jan/Feb?

Bats are flying way, way, way too far into the infield upon splitting this year.

  32. 2008 July 19 at 5:20 pm

Buchholz is pitching the final game in Seattle. And Beckett followed Buchholz so logic would be with the off day on Thursday that Beckett pitches Friday.

  33. 2008 July 19 at 5:22 pm

Wow, fc — Robert Randolph is playing the one in Boston? Good deal!

  34. 2008 July 19 at 5:22 pm

that’s pretty funny fc. I remember those days of going to Life Be in It then heading to the fireworks. Then when we alll turned 21, it was sitting in the beer tent all day until the fireworks.

starr, you can find the probable starting pitchers here. They don’t have Friday’s game up yet, tho.

  36. 2008 July 19 at 5:25 pm

Including today, here is the next 5 starters:

    Sat-Beckett
    Sun-Wake
    Mon-Lester
    Tue-Dice-K
    Wed-Clay

    off-day on Thursday.

Thanks. I am now officially in shock that I may get to see Beckett pitch live and in person. Here, I could faint, or just be overheated.

  39. 2008 July 19 at 5:40 pm

Hm, I thought that pitch looked good. K!

  40. 2008 July 19 at 5:41 pm

  44. 2008 July 19 at 5:52 pm

  45. 2008 July 19 at 5:53 pm

  46. 2008 July 19 at 5:56 pm

  48. 2008 July 19 at 5:57 pm

    Seems movable.

  49. 2008 July 19 at 5:57 pm

scioscia is about to get tossed if there’s one more close pitch not called a strike

  50. 2008 July 19 at 5:58 pm

Well he got his wish on that one. :(
