The cowbells were back? Maybe I should be glad that I missed the game.

  6. 2008 July 1 at 7:09 pm

We get cowbells and Garza tonight.

I can hardly contain the excitement.

At least sox fans don’t need cowbells.

  10. 2008 July 1 at 7:15 pm

Ugh, Dusty, just a little farther. So close.

Were the Rays fans like this last night?

  12. 2008 July 1 at 7:16 pm

LOL, what do the constant cowbells say about the mentality of TB fans? ;-O

I’m trying to think of another team that had this much noise that doesn’t come from the fans voices and I can’t think of any.

  14. 2008 July 1 at 7:18 pm

That they think they’re lost cows?

Really the only thing more annoying than rally towels is cowbells.

  16. 2008 July 1 at 7:23 pm

Thank god they don’t have rally towels AND cowbells.

Cause there would be no word to describe that kind of lame.

  17. 2008 July 1 at 7:27 pm

    Ouch

Really why do teams give out crap like that? What happened to cheering your team on as loud as you can?

  23. 2008 July 1 at 7:29 pm

    Great.

Lugo is on the bench, but I think Cora just channeled him for a millisecond.

And the cowbell crew strikes first again.

Beckett doesn’t just sit in the dugout… he LURKS.

Also, Varitek just can’t sit still when he’s not starting.

garza looks like a punk. he also looks like he’d knife you in a tampa back alley if given the chance.

  29. 2008 July 1 at 7:40 pm

Ooops, I got sidetracked for a few minutes. I see we have the second incarnation of E6 playing tonight. :-(

Maybe it’s just my poor hearing or maybe I need to turn the volume up on the audiostream, but I can’t hear the cowbells! Just as well…

Underwater? Slow and ponderously swimming? Or….

Anonymous, I had to Google some images of this Garza fellow (no TV here). I see what you mean.

It was so loud in there last nite at the game. Such a sad ending. Did get some pics of Tek, and Papelbon my favs though.

  36. 2008 July 1 at 8:02 pm

If we’re underwater, someone sure can swim fast.

Behind me, the horns and cowbells were so loud the sox bullpen, which was in front of me, kept turning around and looking up.

  38. 2008 July 1 at 8:02 pm

Dang…I hope that makes it to the Gameday videos! Amazing…

  39. 2008 July 1 at 8:03 pm

  42. 2008 July 1 at 8:14 pm

Here we go again (bashing head against wall)…

  43. 2008 July 1 at 8:17 pm

Garza keeps pitching like this and he’s gonna hang around far too long in this game.

He needs a 25-30 pitch inning.

  44. 2008 July 1 at 8:17 pm

    Two words ecl: padded walls.

  45. 2008 July 1 at 8:19 pm

    One word, fc: BEER!

  46. 2008 July 1 at 8:21 pm

By the way…WRKO just mentioned that tomorrow night’s game is on ESPN! That isn’t even on the official schedule on mlb.com, but I confirmed it on my cable schedule. That’s FOUR times on TV in the next week for me — YIPPEE!!

  47. 2008 July 1 at 8:21 pm

Dammit, all these long fly balls just need a little bit more.

I can’t concentrate worth a damn tonight. I’m all over the Internet and am too tired to multitask. :-(
