Hey everyone, haven’t been on in awhile. I was at Saturday’s game (bases loaded, no outs!!!) and then the otheres were on tv.
Lets hope for another great performance by Lester.
Hey everyone!
Go Sox!
Hey there! Basically just walked in the door and am getting settled in. Go Jon and everyone else!
Aww, Mikey.
Well, that was a bad start. :(
My MLB.com package has no sound – is it just me? Other websites are working OK.
My mlb.tv is working fine for me.
Nice pickoff!
Settle down, Les…
I really don’t pity those sitting in the sun at Fenway. Today was pretty brutal.
Eeewww, still 85 degrees according to Gameday! Hopefully it’ll cool down a bit during the evening.
My friend Tia was at the game last night and she said she almost melted it was so hot.
Ugh. Hot nasty weather.
wohoo – got my sound back!
Yay for RUNS
YEEEEHAAAAA!!! You go, guys!
and, double wohoo! Drew!
Hey Y’all from wicked-nasty-hot Sacramento. It’s way over 108 right now and will be close to that all week and smoky from the wild fires. Ugh.
Speaking of hot–JD!
I’m glad Jacoby is dirty already. That means good things. :)
Bethie, did you get slammed with those storms this afternoon? The radar looked super nasty.
Correction: it IS 108 now. TGFAC!
(Thank God For Air Conditioning ;-)
Jules, are folks having to wear masks and such because of the air quality out there?
Oh yeah, we had nasty storms. I got to drive home in 60 MPH winds and torrential rains.
It was so much fun I NEVER want to do it again. :)
Hi ecl…how are you doing?
(dammit, delmon!)
Some people are wearing masks. There are health advisories, yet some dorks are jogging outside.
I’d *love* some rain right now (hold the lightening, please)
Ugh… I feel bad for you, Jules. I’ll echo your TGFAC, though. I spent the day at the barn and nearly fainted a few times.
hey everyone…..so we decided to save six flags for another day….too hot….runs in the first inning…nice change from last night….nice Drewski
what friggin shame they didn’t show that whole ad.
Did anyone see the pre-game show about how the Sox production team handled Lester’s no-no? I got chills seeing it again.
I have to work, but am soooooooo procrastinating…
Bethie, we had some “strong” T-storms midafternoon, but just loud thunder and rather heavy rain. The worst of it went around us, but when I saw that regional radar I thought of you. 60 mph…yikes.
Jules, I’m doing just fine. Getting ready for cheese and crackers and beer.
it’s downright disgusting up here. it might be 85 there but the air is so thick right now it’s very hard to breathe.
Liza, you have a barn? I’m envious of the room to have one. When we retire, we’re getting some land!
I was in the garage vacuuming out my car (might be driving some co-workers for lunch tomorrow and had to get the yellow lab hair out of the back seats ;-) and was sweating like crazy. I’m so done with summer already.
I hate hot weather so I try and not to got outside as much when it is.
Youk!
Ian, the dewpoint is up around 70 in CT and MA…no wonder you folks are uncomfortable.
Great D, guys–good hustle by Lester.
ecl, that sounds great. I was going to make lasagna tonight, but it sounds too heavy in the heat. Ice cream for dinner sounds better ;-)
Jules, oh, no. It’s just the barn where I ride horses. I live in too urban a city to have anything bigger than a pocket-sized backyard.
What kind of riding do you do? My daughter rode English hunter/jumper for a few years. She was very good and loves horses, but it got *extremely* expensive, so we had to stop, unfortunately.
It’s disgusting out.
I’ll probably be quiet for a while. Trying to fix the RSS feed on my site.
Jules, that’s not my entire dinner, at least that’s not the plan…I need to cook up some brown rice to go with the rotisserie chicken I planned to eat for lunch before a freebie manifested itself at the office. Not sure if I’ll do a vegetable or not. I’ve been extremely lazy about that lately.
Nice play Mikey!
I do some jumpers, but I’ve been doing more Dressage recently and I love it. Unfortunately, it’s really strenuous on both horse and rider, so it’s not too much fun in weather like this.
Oh I used to ride too! I did the 3ft hunters and eq – always wanted to try dessage though. Looks like fun.
These innings are starting to resemble a waltz…1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3…not that I’m complaining about our side of it, of course. ;D
Liza, Dressage is amazing to watch–such control and concentration.
ecl, that sounds good.
Well, I better get to work! I’ve myself a long list of things to do…
Does anyone else find it kinda pathetic that Giambi is campaigning to get voted into the All-Star Game?
http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080707&content_id=3085729&vkey=news_nyy&fext=.jsp&c_id=nyy
While I only skimmed the article, I noted that he is enticing fans w/ autographed baseballs. Personally, I wouldn’t want to be voted in through bribery.
Ecl you cursed it! ;)
Whoops…sorry Jessi. (hiding face in shame).
Haha I’ll give you a pass this time.
It’s so much fun, too–it’s so satisfying when you do something right, which on a good horse can be very often.
Oh frick. Okay, Les…
dammit
Ok well that wasn’t good.
Come on Lester!
Giambi. Ugh.
So the announcers were just talking about “whirling dervishes” on the field…Lugo spinning around. Didn’t he do that last night? What is WITH him lately, anyway? Not that I’m complaining, of course.
Aw shit.
At least the Yanks are leading Rays 2-0
