The only other player I’m glad to see strike out other than A-Rod is Damon.

OMG, Douchebag O’Reilly. Figures he’d be a Sox fan.

  17. 2008 July 25 at 8:12 pm

Actually, I don’t know what he was. He wasn’t wearing any team’s stuff.

Could just as easily be a Yankee fan…

  18. 2008 July 25 at 8:12 pm

O’Reilly is from Long Island. Something tells me if he’s rooting for any team tonight, it’s the Yankees.

Justin’s tapping his feet as well and it’s adorable.

    Hi, everyone, by the way.

Also: I’m sure it’s been said, but Beckett’s curveball is a thing of beauty tonight.

  33. 2008 July 25 at 8:36 pm

The Yankees just picked up LHP Damaso Marte and OF Xavier Nady from the Pirates for Ross Ohlendorf, Jose Tabata, Phil Coke and George Kontos.

  34. 2008 July 25 at 8:39 pm
    Trish permalink

That explains why they were taken out of the Pirates’ lineup tonight (I was looking at Steelers stuff earlier and saw something).

  35. 2008 July 25 at 8:40 pm

Not that I’m in any position to get to one…but has anyone ever been to a Bertucci’s? WRKO had an ad and it sounded so delicious…was wondering if the chain is any good.

hi all…is there a game going on? I’ve forgotten about baseball because soccer players are sooo hot.

    ecl, I love Bertucci’s.

  37. 2008 July 25 at 8:44 pm

I grew up in an Italian family and so the cuisine is like mother’s milk to me. The name caught my eye because I used to work with someone by that name…who was from Louisiana and pronounced it “Ber-TOO-see.” I told her that her ancestors were rolling over in their graves, LOL.

Ecl, you’ve never been to Bertucci’s? They’re everywhere up here. The food is good.

Also, Carlos Gomez was carted off the field on a backboard after making a spectacular catch and “writhed around grabbing his lower back.” Yikes.

I don’t remember the last time I ate at Olive Garden.

I was also promised Red Sox-Yankees tix for my birthday and dunno if I’ll collect.

Man, even the beauteous sight of Josh’s ass isn’t enough to keep me awake tonight. Blah, up at 4:15 every morning.

  42. 2008 July 25 at 8:48 pm

Liza, I haven’t lived “up here” in 20 years, and the prior 13 years were in a little town in central NY. Looking at the restaurant locator, the closest ones to me are about 8 hours away. So no…I haven’t been to a Bertucci’s.

    Ouchie for Gomez.

Trish, most anything is better than Olive Garden if you want REAL Italian food!

  43. 2008 July 25 at 8:49 pm
    Trish permalink

Yeah, we’re fortunate here that we have a couple good Italian places here (run by a Philadelphian and Brooklynite respectively).

  44. 2008 July 25 at 8:49 pm

    Rusty, that’s a good comparison.

ECL, maybe, but I never have to search for a parking place at the gym or wait on a machine at that hour.

  48. 2008 July 25 at 8:51 pm

we’ve got some great Italian food up here in New Haven. All you have to do is go to Wooster Street.
