  2. 2008 July 3 at 9:55 pm

And shockingly enough, a Red Sox skanks game that lasted under 3 hours.

Hooray! That was awesome. I was getting worried there for a while, seeing them slip. It reminded me of the red sox from when I was a kid.

Kristina, you’ll have to get her a little duckie suit for her next birthday so she can walk around doing that. ;-)

Yes ma’am, Faith. Wish I could get 20 rounds of shutout Sox baseball instead. :)

In better news, Bartlett on 15 day DL for the Rays. Heh. :)

  17. 2008 July 3 at 10:03 pm

OK. I made this point earlier. Coco’s out for 5 games, Red Sox lose 5.

Coco returns, Red Sox end 5-game losing streak.

Dr. Faith prescribes 9 innings of Beckett Shutout Elixir for what ails ya!

As a bonus, we don’t have to endure Somber Heidi tonight.

  23. 2008 July 3 at 10:07 pm

I thought you just might like that, Bethie!

  24. 2008 July 3 at 10:07 pm

Heidi get closer to Jon and rub your boobies on him. Geez she’s like molesting him right now.

  25. 2008 July 3 at 10:07 pm

    Poor Jon…

  26. 2008 July 3 at 10:09 pm

Eckersley: Johnny Damon’s 10 bouncer to homeplate won’t get Manny.

I’m laughing hysterically here over that one

My theory, albeit kinda lame, is that we just got off a run of inter-league play, which I personally hate. And that last run at Houston, I think that kinda took some wind out of their sails. Cause again, we lost a few that we should have easily won. So when they made it to Tampa…well….shit happens.

I dunno. I know the Rays have improved and they are all about knowing how to actually play baseball now. I get that. But that sweep hurt my soul, seriously. But I know tonight did the team a lot of good. Let’s hope they can run with it.

Since I will be at work during tomorrow’s game, I will be back on Saturday. I am happy I have Sox text alerts.

  31. 2008 July 3 at 10:12 pm

The Red Sox ran into top 3 pitchers of the Rays rotation is a big reason why they lost all the games down there.

  32. 2008 July 3 at 10:12 pm

No doubt the whole team is going to sleep well tonight. The WRKO guys were of the opinion that we were going on adrenaline tonight, having reached the hotel at 4:00 a.m. So the adrenaline surge-fueled win + a good night’s sleep, equals kick some ass this weekend! RAH!

Of course. And they also ran into our inconsistent bullpen. That didn’t hurt their chances either.

  34. 2008 July 3 at 10:15 pm

good night’s sleep and back at it for some day baseball tomorrow afternoon.

^ They lost 5 games by 1 run. When they’re hot they could have easily won any or all of those games, when they’re cold they find new ways to lose. Not much to it. Delcarmen and Hansen were hot a couple weeks ago, now they aren’t. Plus before tonight Varitek hadn’t had a hit in a couple years
