I don’t know how I’m going to make it through tonights game w/ the ESPN guys doing it.
Why do all the national announcers have to remind everyone that we’re “looking up at the Rays?”
How many references are we going to get about the ages of the starting pitchers tonight?
I think because that team is THE story of the first half of baseball.
At Wilson’s Farm, our local food store, they have a random mini Fenway scoreboard on top of the wall. It seems like they’ve forgotten to update it though, because the Rays were still behind the Sox. D:

I’m very happy Papelbon is going. Also happy for Youky.
I’m of course psyched that Youk is an all-star starter, and Pedey too, but neither is a surprise. But I’m DEE-LIGHTED to see that the players voted JD on.

Longoria is so good…but I’m not sure if I can get past the rivalry to vote for him (never thought I’d say that…I’ve never been one to buy into the rivalry thing).

What surprised me is this. Lowell finished second in the player voting and Longoria finished 3rd. So why wasn’t Lowell chosen for the 32nd man voting.
