Hiya! I’m doing my usual Sox-on-TV routine…will be here intermittently. I’m psyched for this game!

  5. 2008 July 6 at 8:02 pm

    well, that was … awkward.

    freakin’ espn.

I don’t know how I’m going to make it through tonights game w/ the ESPN guys doing it.

  7. 2008 July 6 at 8:02 pm

Why do all the national announcers have to remind everyone that we’re “looking up at the Rays?”

How many references are we going to get about the ages of the starting pitchers tonight?

I think because that team is THE story of the first half of baseball.

At Wilson’s Farm, our local food store, they have a random mini Fenway scoreboard on top of the wall. It seems like they’ve forgotten to update it though, because the Rays were still behind the Sox. D:

my favorite won a popularity contest! WHOO HOO! i feel my fanhood being validated! ;D

  13. 2008 July 6 at 8:08 pm

Yeah, Texy, I know…but (sigh) I hate having it rubbed in our faces over and over. :(

  14. 2008 July 6 at 8:08 pm

I would think any Sox fan would be excited, Jenny. Pedey ROCKS!

I’m very happy Papelbon is going. Also happy for Youky.

  24. 2008 July 6 at 8:15 pm

I’m of course psyched that Youk is an all-star starter, and Pedey too, but neither is a surprise. But I’m DEE-LIGHTED to see that the players voted JD on.

My vote on the AL extra player: Evan Longoria (sorry, Jermaine)
My vote on the NL extra player: Pat Burrell (sorry, Bacon)

  29. 2008 July 6 at 8:24 pm

Karen, yes, I voted — 5 times. It kept on telling me to vote again, so I did.

Just wondering who people are voting for. Is it so wrong I am voting for Longoria?

As long as pornstache doesn’t make the team I’m happy.

  32. 2008 July 6 at 8:26 pm

I went with Jermaine and Wright.

Is it me or does Joba come across as a lot older than his actual age?

  33. 2008 July 6 at 8:27 pm

    Pornstache. Ugh (spew)…

back to the other room for awhile

ecl-I voted for the same guys. I’m going to go and give some votes for Longoria later on.

Why do they try on run on this catcher?

how was that an excellent play by jeter? it looked fairly routine to me. crisp was slow getting out of the box, too.

quit drooling all over the yankees, jon miller. i mean it.

    ughhhhh.

  38. 2008 July 6 at 8:31 pm

I voted for Longoria and Carlos Lee. I only voted for Lee because he said he’d participate in the home run derby if he gets in

  41. 2008 July 6 at 8:31 pm

Do we get 25 votes total with this round?

Longoria is so good…but I’m not sure if I can get past the rivalry to vote for him (never thought I’d say that…I’ve never been one to buy into the rivalry thing).

    Molina has scary fast reflexes.

  42. 2008 July 6 at 8:32 pm

    LOL Erin!

    Oh shit. Damn you, A-Rod.

  46. 2008 July 6 at 8:33 pm

for me ecl, it’s a new rivalry and he’s a pretty damn good player.

What surprised me is this. Lowell finished second in the player voting and Longoria finished 3rd. So why wasn’t Lowell chosen for the 32nd man voting.

Madonna just wet herself over that home run.
