I meant “this loss”
Well, I got to go to sleep. Will be on shortly after 7:30pm when I get home from work.
Guys who have Bs in their name suck for Sox (in terms of luck) – Babe, Bucky, Buckner, Boone…Brett
yes ECL, he did call Cora, Lugo
Jessi’s version of the Killer Bs.
Adam: Sorry, but Paps’ stat splits do NOT back up what you just said. In late/close games, opponents BA against him is .166 and his BABIP is just .227 — don’t go all Joe Morgan/Dusty Baker on us.
ESPN announcers = stupid.
Dang, I’m being negative. But the situation calls for it.
So the Twins are coming up…
Haha I guess ecl, I’m sooo pissed though. No outs, bases loaded last night…Paps against a guy w/ two or three hits in his career…ugh.
Oh yea, and the Rays won AGAIN. I’ll definitely be rooting for Yanks (gag) in their upcoming series.
at least we go home now…..and I guess we’ll have to route for the skanks since the Rays are coming to town…see everyone tomorrow
May sleeping in their own beds be therapeutic for our guys so they can get ALL of their mojo back.
Trust Tex to come up with facts when I was just considering being plain mean. And when I start to get mean it’s time for me to go.
I’ll be at Fenway tomorrow so I’ll be sure to give someone’s love to our closer.

-Hung the split to Mike Lamb in the blown save against the Twins
- Hung the split to Edwin Encarnacion in the blown save against the Reds
- Hung the split to Adam Kennedy in the blown save against the Cardinals
- Couldn’t get a fastball by Brett Gardner, had to resort to his split
- The Tiger blown save wasnt really his fault
If you would have just said “Paps is having problems with his splitter”, I would not have disagreed with you. if you would have said, “Compared to last year, his situational stats in close/late games have declined,” I would have agreed with you.
But you said “Papelbon is such a pussy. Can’t deliver in 1 run/tie games.” The first part of which is rather shitty (and reactionary) of you to say, and the second part of which is not backed up by his career stats.
I’m sorry but Papelbon deserves as much criticism as possible when he can’t get Brett Gardner out (I don’t care how cheap of a hit it was)
I think you’re missing my point: criticize him all you want, just don’t make hyperbolic critiques that aren’t founded in fact. And calling someone a vagina is not a “criticism” — that’s just name-calling, really.
I do agree that a hit is a hit is a hit – doesn’t matter how cheap, if the ball is put in play, it’s the pitcher’s responsibility.
Hey guys,
I thought I would make my first post useful, so I wanted to share with you my review of this amazing guide on how to stop sweating I started using a few months ago.
I hope you find my review useful!
Cheers,
Mike
