One Time Only

This is the one and only time you’ll see most post anything here about all the nonsense, hoopla and gossip flurry surrounding a certain ballplayer these days — because he does not play for the Red Sox, and the constant news stories about his personal life only make him more famous, and I quite honestly do not give a shit. But this was too funny to pass up…

Toronto, you are awesome.

One of the guys on my NHL board said that the guy in the orange hat is his brother. Very funny. And is the pic of Arod looking at them….just hilarious. LOL Toronto is funny, eh? LOL

Haha this brought back memories of last year’s blonde masks at Fenway. A-Rod needs to learn to fly under the radar.

    Go Toronto!

Toronto, that’s funny! Yanks lost today, TB lost today, we won. Excellent. They should’ve played “Like a Virgin” for him.

That is funny. My sister is working with a guy who works at Fenway to play like a virgin when A-Rod comes to bat next week there.

I’m no Yankee fan by any means, but this is just tacky. Personal issues do not belong at the game.

does anyone feel bad for him? It would be different if it was baseball related. His team is losing, he’s losing his wife/kids/half-his-fortune and now he’s being mocked? Aww I hate the Yankees but this isn’t making me feel good.

If it was a normal divorce, perhaps. But when you’re A-Rod, making a bajillion dollars a year playing for the most famous sports franchise in the country and you decide to (allegedly) cheat on your wife with MADONNA? The biggest famewhore of all time? You deserve every singe bit of mocking you get.

(That’s not to say I don’t love Madonna, because I do. “4 Minutes” is fierce. But she’s a total publicity hound.)

Let us not forget that this is also the same Pay-Fraud (er, A-Rod) that decided the best time to announce that he was opting out of his contract was before Game Four of the World Series.

He clearly wants to be in the spotlight, and while I feel (somewhat) for his family, his overall behavior makes it hard to feel bad about this.

Feel bad for him? Are you kidding? The only victims here are his children. Luckily, I think the oldest one is still too young to be affected by this right now. Hopefully, he can clean up his act, live up to his responsibilities and be a good father.

    That is priceless! Go Toronto!

I will never feel bad for A-Rod. If he doesn’t want to be in the spotlight, then maybe he shouldn’t um cheat on his wife with freakin Madonna.

I am a child of divorce and cheating. Fortunately for me, I have the best mother in the world and a father who does try his best. The only people to feel bad for are the children because A-Rod made the conscious decision to cheat on his wife with Madonna (allegedly), who was not even the first women with whom he cheated. It is a shame for his children’s sake that this is not kept private, but that is just not how our current society works. I hope in the end, the children will have two parents who, regardless of the state of their relationship, put them (the children) first. To say the children won’t be affected now because they are too young is naiive, they will notice the absence of a second parent and the change in their mother’s way.
