Okay, just checking. I have a Mac, and pop-ups are disabled, but every now and then I’ll see one telling me that my Windows operating system has a problem.

Heh. My dad came down to check the score and when he saw it he said, “What the hell is wrong with the Sox?”

Is that Dancing Queen I hear in the background?

I’m sure Timlin loves having “Dancing Queen” being played while he’s warming up.

Crud, did I violate Gameday open thread rules by posting URL’s?

Bay is giant spot of sunshine in an otherwise cloudy night. I’m so happy we got him.

I’m sure Timlin was trying to sing “black betty” in his head while he was warming up.

PLease someone tell my why timlin didn’t bring out the cross bow instead of the glove and ball.. would have been much more effective

Honestly, can this game get any worse?

    Kim-yes, yes it can.

    Kim – yes. Sadly, yes.

I am no longer watching this game and have switched over to the Rangers game.

  14. 2008 August 20 at 9:21 pm

Mike Timlin: once again making sure the Red Sox have little shot of coming back.

And watch……they are going to have to bring in Okie. They basically have no choice.

Which means this isn’t the worst it is gonna be. Cause we know how much Okie likes the O’s.

Is Masterson unavailable? I mean really… he’s the only freaking dependable one in there.

    Cathy permalink

    Clone Masterson, too.

  18. 2008 August 20 at 9:22 pm

They should just leave Timlin in. Let him take the beating, and don’t waste anyone who’s actually good.

I quit paying attention awhile ago myself…

  22. 2008 August 20 at 9:27 pm

    I’m watching.
    For better or worse, y’know?

Oh, I still have the game on and am listening (watching some), but am having trouble focusing on it.

I’m still watching. I figure it can’t get any worse than an A’s game.

I just can’t seem to change the channel no matter how bad the game is. There is some part of me that always believes the Sox can come back.

  26. 2008 August 20 at 9:31 pm

    THEY CAN

  27. 2008 August 20 at 9:32 pm

(I realize there is something wrong with me.)

From this game forward, I will blame whatever sucky thing Cash does on the fact that Byrd stole his number.

I didn’t know Byrd stole his number. Shows how much I watch Cash. I’m a Tek fan. Now Oki, great.

    Wow, another walk.

Maybe this whole Beckett injury is just a cover up so he won’t have to pitch against Toronto?

It’s between you and the crickets and tumbleweeds, Mac.

This game is depressing me to the point where I can’t muster words.

Cathy, I was wondering that too. If it has more to do with him not wanting to pitch Toronto again. He has said it tingles after he sleeps on it, yeah everyone has that.

Wish the local announcers would stop discussing food.

  37. 2008 August 20 at 9:53 pm

Meanwhile, the Rays are doing it again against the Angels. So if the Sox don’t stage a big comeback, they’ll see the A.L. East deficit grow.

I’ve moved on to doing the dishes…between half innings is a good time to sit down, though.

If the Sox don’t come back in this one, their WC lead will be .5 games.

Will be interested to see if you find anything, Karen. I bought a McAfee subscription. It self-updates every day, and although I have it set for automatic scans, I run them manually pretty often. Have never found a single thing to date.

  43. 2008 August 20 at 9:57 pm

Hey, I’m new. Just turned on the tv, cause I got back from field hockey tryouts. Almost got to go to this game…

The last time Timlin threw 60 pitches in a game was April, 2002. He went 4 1/3 innings in that game.

  45. 2008 August 20 at 9:58 pm

Turn it off, B! Save yourself!
