Here. I know it’s early, but I’m off and bored. I enjoyed relaxing for the first 3 days now bored.

I’m here and just sort of depressed and mehh. Hopefully tonight’s game will give me something to perk up about.

I know depression, have had it for over 20yrs. Sitting home with nothing to do hasn’t helped. This game hopefully will make it better. Read it’s 102 degrees in Kansas City.

    Hey all!

Looking forward to a good game in KC tonight. Here’s hoping we can improve on our crappy road record tonight.

I’m bipolar, Karen, so mine comes and goes. I’m certainly busy so shouldn’t be bored. I think I’m just a little bit worn down right now…midlife crisis and all that good stuff.

I didn’t realize Mikey didn’t make the trip. Glad he’s taking the day rather than risking damage or even just more pain.
Sorry about your mood, ecl – I’m feeling kind of low key but maybe I can sharpen up my wit for your entertainment.

P.S. I really feel for all the players and fans who have to deal with that kind of heat. I thought 93 here today was bad…but 102? :::shakes head:::

Hey everyone! Also watching the Yank – Ranger game. I’ve been a Josh Hamilton fan ever since the Home Run Derby.

Mikey didn’t make the trip at all? Poor guy…I hope he feels better.

    Thanks, fc.

Let the “Youk in this heat” wisecracks fly!

Hopefully this rest will do Mikey some good. He desperately needed it.

Every time I hear “Gil Meche” I think “Gilgamesh.”

I read Mikey got an injection to make his pain better. Sounds painful, especially since where his pain is.

I think Gil Meche looks like Joel Pineiro.

As much as I hate Mikey not playing, I’m happy that Casey is getting some playing time.

So miss Nesn, these announcers on their local channel, on mlb.tv, not entertaining, very monotone.

fc, you beat me to it about Gilgamesh. That was the first thing that came to mind. I wonder how much ribbing he’s taken over that.

he shaved it off yesterday, I think.

Maybe he reverted back to the thong?

Hey everyone….scoring early is nice…there goes Pedie that hitting machine agian….I think I like JD batting first, he gets on base alot so it can’t hurt

  28. 2008 August 4 at 8:17 pm

Evaporation is not Youk’s strong point.

The heat could explain why there are empty seats in the stands.

No stache, completely gone. I didn’t realize it was him batting until they said his name.

  31. 2008 August 4 at 8:19 pm

“YOOOUUK” from the Kansas crowd – I love it.
