Edit: 5 names….Jason, Jed, Jason, Jacoby, JD.
Jessi- I just realized that.
Wow, guys.
I love how many J’s we have!
Yep, the J Brigade, as someone dubbed them the other night. The roster is loaded with ‘em. And that’s not even counting the pitchers or Julio.
There are 11 J’s I think. That’s crazy!
::Sigh::
Expanding on the J-thing. Maybe Justin Masterson will relieve Josh and then Jon will record a save!
ANYWAY!
So i heard some blustery numbnuts talking about trades we should make.
He managed to pull together THE WORST idea ever:
ELLSBURY, CRISP, AARDSMA for Todd Helton and Matt Holliday
That’s right, idiot. Trade BOTH our CFs plus one of the more consistent members of a struggling bullpen for a 1B when we have 2 and a LF when we have one for next season.
What a moron.
Cathy, the other thing there’s a lot of is November birthdays. Lots of those on the roster.
Thank god for Lowrie.
JED!
JED!!!
That’s a bad one, mhc, but I have an even worse one — Jacoby, Coco, Buchholz and Masterson for Joe Mauer.
I’m bored so here are the J names on the sox:
Justin
Jon
Josh
Jonathan
Javier
Jed
Julio
J.D
Jacoby
and Jason(x2)
Edit: Jed!
Awww, HELL no, mhc! What a fool!
Cathy— Wow, that is a TRULY dreadful one.
Why would we trade both Jacoby and Coco? What are they thinking?
Was talking about the moronic trade, by the way, mhc! My post got delayed for some reason!
The guy was a moron! I just stopped listening to him after he proposed that trade.
He also thought we should re-sign Manny at the end of the year.
All I know is that there are HOARDS of dudes on the internet (granted, in real life too) who like to air their moronic ideas in public as if they’re experts…
Here’s a hint: having an opinion doesn’t make you an expert. Should be that opinions are based on expertise.
I think they’re probably trying to prove their manhood.
It is always fun to rip apart their fragile egos by bringing up things like REALITY in those situations though.
TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION UNRELATED TO NAMES OR BIRTHDAYS OR ANYTHING ELSE LIKE THAT:
What do do about Ells?
I think he needs time to work this stuff out… but oh my Lord is he sucking. He’s doing what rookies do, but I am at a loss.
Some people just like to talk to hear their own voice, and don’t really care what they say.
VERY TRUE, Cathy.
Thanks for reminding me that they’re just dudes with big mouths, mhc. I’ve been known to read opinions on the stats-and-scores type blogs that get me pretty upset. Trashing my baseball boyfriends and stuff like that.
I don’t know what to tell you, mhc. Ells is making me sad faced lately. That’s all I know.
I think he should go back to bunting for base hits. He did that a couple weeks ago, and it seemed to work well.
ecl–
Yeah, they’re generally totally fucking clueless. It’s the one area of their lives in which they think they can sound cool, and they come out with bullcrap.
Don’t listen to them. Theo doesn’t.
I think Ells takes way too many strikes. While I love patience at the plate and taking pitches, he is not walking or hitting. He’ll take two balls right down the middle and then get beat on the inside fastball.
Soo close Pedroia.
Ellsbury definitely needs to work on being able to hit the inside pitch.
And then there’s Papi.
His timing isn’t quiiiite there yet, methinks.
It is really frustrating to have SOOO many of our hitters slumping at the same friggen time. Feels like it’s always someone. And now I’m waiting for Youk and Lowell to have their annual summer drop-off.
Frustration is kind of the word of the season for me.

oops…. sorry…
It takes awhile for people with injuries to get their timing back. Papi should be smoking the ball soon.
But something needs to be done to shake up the team, and give them some energy. They just seem really flat right now.
You’d think the last week or two would have been a significant shake-up.
Thai food’s here – mhc & yours truly will be quiet for a bit.
You’d think. Maybe they just need time to adjust to having Bay and not Manny.
I agree, Cathy, about Papi. It is driving me nuts that so many are claiming that Manny’s departure is hurting Papi at the plate. They completely ignore the fact that he just came off the DL.
BecKKKKKett….I like this Josh much better than 1st inning Josh
Now if only the bats can do something
We need about 6 more half innings like that one.
And more productive half innings for our bats.
BAY!
Jason!
Yay a baserunner! Please don’t strand him!
J-BAY!!!
Now THAT’S what I’m talkin’ about!
BAY!!!!
Aww Mikey running. :(
I miss Billy :(
:::crickets and cicadas:::
Did I scare everybody away?
I was getting a snack….Jacoby on base…YAY
A hit for Jacoby!!
