Is it undignified to laugh here? No? Then…. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! That was, hands-down, one of the greatest Olympic moments of all time.
And now back to your regularly-schedule baseball programming…
That was AMAZING! I thought that France just beat us out and then “1 USA” flashed across the screen – my family and I went crazy.
One of the greatest sport moments I have ever witnessed. Incredible.
And after the race:
“A fingertip did the victory,” said Amaury Leveaux, one of the French swimmers. “It is nothing.”
Whatever you say, mon ami.
That was one of the most intense sports moments i’ve ever seen, thats for sure i cant believe they pulled that one out.
That was awesome. Normally I’m not all about the swimming but wow! One of the best moments ever- the looks on the faces of the French team made my day.
That was freakin’ awesome! So glad it was live, too!
yea, i have to agree with you all. it was close to being the greatest sport moment ever. (behind ‘04 ALCS of course)
i was screaming the entire final lap. oh, and michael phelps looked like he could rip a human being apart when he was celebrating. not that thats a bad thing…i’m just saying
that was so amazing. i was watching it, yelling at the screen “pick it up pick it up pick it up!!!!!!!” i couldn’t believe it when they won – those french swimmers looked shattered. that’ll teach you to talk trash!
top notch. I really didn’t think USA had a chance until the very last 2 seconds. Did anyone see the replay of them taking a look at each other right before Lezak pulled forward to the wall? that’s what I call true team effort.
I think Groundkeeper Willie said it best when he said “you cheese eating surrender monkeys”. That was riiiidiculous, seirously. Also Michael Phelps is a goofy looking mofo.
