I’d never been to any major league ballpark other than Fenway before this week, but after three games at the Stadium of Doom, I can tell you there’s not much going for it other than the sheer size. It doesn’t have any traces of the original stadium–just the ’70s renovations. That said, I can’t believe they’re not even going to play on the same site.

Prior to jumping the fence, I had nostalgia for The Bedpan despite never having been there. Now that I’m on the RIGHT side of the rivalry and have gotten familiar with Fenway…last night while watching the game I looked at the panoramic shots of Yankee Stadium and couldn’t help noticing that it’s not nearly as lovely as the Fens! Never too old to learn, right?
