Let’s Go RED SOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PVs to southeast Texas in recuperating from Ike. PVs to my family there.
I was so relieved to hear from my family this morning. There was some damage- but not severe. More importantly, everyone (including animals) are all OK.
holy wow, I can finally read the site again..
Hello everyone! Glad to hear that everyone’s family is safe.
Texy – it’s good to hear that your family is OK.
By the way, hi all.
Good effort, Coco.
Hey everyone. Relieved it’s the weekend… GO SOX!
That’s good news, Texy. I’m awaiting the post-storm e-mail from my NY cousins who are funneling info from the Houston cousins.
Still finishing my morning (uh-huh) routine and will be back here shortly. GO SOX!
Six doubleheaders in one day…. I wonder what the record is.
I’m glad that everyone is okay down there. These hurricanes are getting nastier and nastier.
Yay for the red jerseys!
Hey all!
Jacoby!
I’m glad to hear that everybody is okay.
Jacoby!
Yay Jacoby!!!
Hey all!
I was supposed to be in Boston today… not at the game, just in Boston. But a fantastic stomache ache has kept me home. Oh well, happy double header day!
PS: I love the red jerseys…
Hi All!
MLB/Directv has decided to black me out of this game. Grrrrrrrrrrr…
Glad everyone’s family in Ike’s path is OK. Wonderful news!
Jacoby!!!
Jacoby being Jacoby!
Jacoby!
Jacoby being Jacoby!
that’s my boy!!!!!!
Forecast: no rain today, scattered thunderstorms likely tomorrow. grr
Jacoby!
10 pitches, advances Jacoby to third? I’ll take it.
Why, Mike? WHYYYYY?
Dangit.
Just peeking back in — love those red jerseys, yes.
The first family report has come in. So far everyone is fine, although one cousin has not yet been heard from. He’s sheltering his 94-year-old mother in an apartment complex full of trees, which is a little bit worrisome. My favorite cousin, who lives in downtown Houston in a 3rd floor apartment, spent the night in a closet because the building was shaking, and right now I wish I could give him a great big hug.
Finally dragged myself out of bed. Been feeling crappy all week.
ecl: Sorry to hear that you had famiy stil in Houston, but good to hear that they’re mostly OK.
Jeez, ecl. I am definitely grateful that I don’t live anywhere near those hurricanes…
Aw poor Drew. And I hope you’re family is okay ecl.
ecl, I hope your cousin is OK. I can’t imagine how terrifying it must have been.
karen, I hope you’re feeling better.
just got off the phone with Directv–Fox has exclusive rights to games shown during the day, so no Sox for me. Trolls.
Good job, Byrd.
ecl – It’s good to hear that, so far, your family is OK. Again, I hope they stay safe.
jules: Where are you? (I know for MLB.tv, there’s no blackout for a game that starts at 12.35, like this one did. . . .)
Jules, mine’s blacked out too. I’m not happy.
Somehow I am getting a URI vs NH football game. Odd, since I am in Florida. My sister went to URI so don’t mind watching.
Pedie!
Have the scheduling gnomes taken the day off today?
And nice play by Pleats!
Tito: Why did you stick Varitek in front of Coco and Jacoby?
How about a nice RBI Pedie?
Pffft. Lost my internet connection and ended up rebooting the computer. So now I’m back, but haven’t yet logged back into the mlb site.
Folks, thanks much about the Houston cousins. The one who spent the night in the closet is a really tough little dude and I’ve only ever heard him use the word “scared” once in all the time I’ve known him, so it must have been pretty bad, which hurts my heart. He’s probably pretty preoccupied right now, but I may try to call him later just to satisfy myself that he’s not totally traumatized.
Ughh.
Papi, dangit!
Seriously Papi? Ugh
Dear offense,
Please stop leaving runners in scoring postion.
-Mac
I see I didn’t miss the happiest baseball in the world.
Nice catch, Coco!
Coco being Coco!
Seeing Coco make that catch just improved my day considerably.
I forgot how much I despise Vernon Wells.
