So the MFY are playing the Rays tonight, leading to a bizarro situation wherein I’m rooting for the Skanks.

    It feels weird.

I feel lost without my site right now. :((

I’ll be back. Need to feed the fat kid in the house.

    Another day, another line-up. . . .

    SoxPhan:

Instead, you should root for a 37-inning game that causes them to use so many pitchers that they’re both wrecked for the rest of the series (and the month). . . .

Hey guys, just one thing to say:

    Lets go Yankees!!

Hi all! Nice 1st inning for Lester.

Go Blue Jays. (Cannot bring myself to root for the Yankees, even though I hate Tampa more.)

    Nice inning, Jonny!

I’m hoping that each of the Yanks/Rays games goes for about 40 innings.

Annnndddd the Rays have, of course, supplied their fans with thousands of cowbells (I’m watching both the Sox and Yankee game).

    Hey y’all!

While I can’t really say, “Go Yankees!” I hope they do win. In many, many extra innings in each game. Yep, that would work.

Mac – Same here, those cowbells need to die. I don’t understand how the Rays own players can listen to them.

Do the cowbells serve any purpose other than to make everybody deaf?

    Hey everyone!

My guess is the cowbells are supposed to make up for how few people actually show up to the Trop

As do these injuries. I arrived late to the game (and the lineup card) and just now became aware of Youk’s injury. Ugh.

It’s so bizarre, Danielle…with TB’s record, you’d think the fans would come out in droves.

If Millar leans over the plate any further, he’s gonna tip over.

Florida is not a regular season baseball place for a home team at least. In Orlando, everyone is like me – a transplant from up north that likes teams outside FL and if they’re from around here, then they prefer NCAA football and Nascar

True, Danielle, and of course, the FL teams are comparatively new so haven’t had time to build up multiple generations of fans like the Sox and NYY.

As the announcers say, it was “framed” perfectly to look like an out–even though it was a run.

Horrible baserunning by our old pal Hinske that cost the Rays a run. 3B coach held up the runner at third, and then Hinske proceeded to run to third (instead of stopping at 2B).

  46. 2008 September 2 at 7:44 pm

I hate to say it but Ellsbury doesn’t have the greatest arm. That was Damon 15 hopper to the plate.

But good job by Tek to block the umpires view

    Karen, you’ll love this story:

    (yeah for turning the DP)

My daughter was in love with snakes and worked hard to save up for one when she was five years old (by working hard, I mean setting the table, etc.).

After we had Snakey for a couple months, she graduate to eating baby mice. We were told that snakes like to eat around dusk, so I put the dinner on my daughter’s dresser (in a cardboard box) and put my daughter in the bathtub.

I got her out of tub in time to see a black fuzzy thing running down the hall! The mouse ate its way out of the box! I had a wet, naked girl screaming while I tried to capture the mouse. Hysterical!
