If the Sox could snag ANY of their catchers – Salty, Laird or Teagarden – I’d be a happy girl.

Is everyone else out enjoying the beautiful day? Or crying over Tom Brady?

So I’m trying to watch this game, Farve and the Jets, and eventually the Yank game. I love Sunday sports.

    Go Sox!

Oh I don’t get the Pat game – how bad did Brady’s injury look?

I am unfortunately having time management issues today so am just now headed to the laundromat. I hope to make it back for the late innings. Enjoy the game, y’all, and GO SOX!

I didn’t see the hit on Brady itself but it sounded pretty ugly – and he had to be helped off the field, with a limp.

I don’t care about Brady. But the way my dad and brother were screaming, it looked bad.

I was just saying how weird it was not to see Brady’s name on the IR this morning…ughh.

I’m celebrating that both my college teams won… and crossing fingers for the Cowboys in an hour. Sacrilege to say in this town- but I don’t care about Tom Brady.

I feelo bad for you guys who follow more than one sport – I only have one season a year to have a nervous breakdown.

Mikey has two games off the DL… and gets a game off? Nice work if you can get it.

To be honest, I don’t care about any sports other than equestrian type sports and baseball, but I’ve been debating whether I should try and get into hockey. I’ve decided I need a winter sport to follow.

  16. 2008 September 7 at 3:16 pm

The way Brady’s knee buckled, it could be a long season up here with Matt Cassell as QB.

Your Longhorns are pretty good Texy. I watched that game last night.

Liza – do you ride? I rode for ten years, but stopped last year.

  19. 2008 September 7 at 3:17 pm

Even though Tito’s statement was that they wanted to ease Mikey into things, I’m guessing that giving Sean some playing time was a consideration too. But I’m all for being conservative with our valuable boys.

Baseball and college basketball are the only sports for me. I’m glad the baseball season is mostly in the summer though because it’s really distracting from school.

fc: I think Tito’s been doing a pretty good job of giving his guys time off when they need it–even when (like Pedey) they don’t want to take the day off.

  23. 2008 September 7 at 3:21 pm

I agree, Tito’s been doing a masterful job with the lineup, beyond giving guys time off, especially the way he’s juggled his crowded outfield.

Jessi – Yep. What type of riding did you do? I’m going to start working with a hardcore Dressage instructor and I’m psyched.

I would like to know who switched Tek’s regular coffee with Folger’s, because his bat has been hot recently.

Longhorns are OK. They should win 8 or 9 games. Notre Dame sucks, and will be lucky to win 5 or 6.

I did 3ft hunters and eq. Would’ve loved to try dessage though. I jumped on a friend’s old dressage horse once and had a blast. On my guy though, I only did simple moves like leg yields, turn on haunches, half passes, etc.

    Nice job guys!

  33. 2008 September 7 at 3:26 pm

I hate ND football and they looked awful against a crappy SDSU squad yesterday.

I jumped for just a little while, around 2′9” mostly, but up to 3 ft. I’ve only been riding for 4 years, so I’m still at training level thus far, but I’m seriously loving it. And I love trot lengthenings. SO. FUN.

But back to baseball–is Pedie really only 1 for 7 in the series? Or did I mishear Remy?

And no, I’ve been to one show, and it was two years ago. It was a 4-H type hunters show. We placed in three of our four classes, though!

Liza–not a “typo.” He really is 1-for-8 now in this series. . . . His average is “down” to .329.

Oh wow, sounds like you’re pretty far along for four years – I was no where near your level at that point (and yes, lengthenings are tons of fun!)

Yea, I’ve noticed Pedie has been a bit more quiet here in Texas.

Thanks, I guess! I love it and I’ve had a great teacher (but she doesn’t have much time now so I’m going to start riding with her instructor).

No, she’s NOT FROM TEXAS. And I’m sure her “Texas accent” is horrible. Don’t encourage her, Remy.

Unless… Remy isn’t too fond of her, maybe he’s encouraging her because she’s horrible and he wants her to look foolish.
