Ahh I remember Catcher and the Rye, one of the few books I enjoyed in school.
Not to make myself sound too old but I wish the internet was around when I was in high school.
Ian, one sentence in and it’s bad–
“This book has been steeped in controversy since it was banned in America after it’s first publication.”
Wrong its.
fc: That was one skill I was never taught, and I regret it to this day. (Granted, some of the sentences I write now would look like a baobab if I attempted to diagram them!)
And this just in: Jacoby’s voiceover work for Volvo? Not so hot. Not nearly as bad as Pleats-in-Cleats, but he certainly shouldn’t quit his day job.
This is all you need, Liza.
Liza – Seriously? Dancing raisins?
I too wish I had internet back then. Although I was happy to have a computer at home to type up papers on. Dad being a sports writer, made our life easier, technology wise.
Liza, Ian doesn’t know that rule. (ducks for cover)
a classic ad fc
Not literally dancing–add vinegar and baking soda to water and put raisins in them and they float all around.
Still, though.
I hate raisins.
same here Karen. my dad was in computers so we always had a computer.
The good ol’ Commodore 64.
fc obviously had better English teachers in the Newington School System then I did.
Jacoby!!
fc – HAHAHAHA!
Liza – Ah. That makes more sense.
Jacoby!!!
Time for some Crispbury goodness?
Lets go Dustin!
be a hitter pleats
I like Jacoco better than Crispbury.
PEDIE!!
now that’s more like it pleats
Pleats!!
Crispbury, sounds like a good dessert.
I like Jacoco better too. It just rolls off my tongue. Crisbury is a mouthful.
Yeah, but Crisp is on second and Jacoby is on first. Jacoco doesn’t make sense there. . . .
ELF POWER!!!!
That’s our little tire salesman!
Angels just won 3-2 in the 9th. So the Sox didn’t get their sweep.
“I don’t believe it. It’s Jim Rice.”
Never fails to amuse me.
Jacoco sounds like a drink. Crispbury sounds like a dessert – like a blueberry crisp.
Joco > Jacoco
It’s just easier to say.
Thank GOD no one got hurt there!
Mine?
Nice catch Bay – but ouch for Crisp!
Communicate, guys!
I’m glad that play worked out without damage.
I’d have to think they were both yelling for the ball but didn’t hear each other while running.
Crisp is always slamming into things and rolling around on the ground to make catches. I love it.
And Pedie will never be able to live that commercial down. Ever.
Anyone see Youk’s latest Bernie’s commercial? He’s no Masterson, but compared to Pedey’s it’s pretty good.
Who was it that said Jacoby did some kind of voiceover for Volvo? Say what?
With no Nesn, I don’t get Sox commercials. Maybe someone will youtube it.
Wow–I hadn’t realized there were a whole set of those commercials.
Worst part for Dustin? The six-year-old is a MUCH better actor.
fc – Youk commercial? Que?
And B, he did a radio commercial with Joe Castiglione for Volvo.
So I just opened up my Spanish book since I’m required to use 15 vocab words in my essay. And none of the hundred spanish words in the vocab list are translated. Not cool.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new guy.
I have to find this commercial. Youtube, possibly?
that was Bay-utiful
fc – I didn’t see it. I don’t get NESN.
B – I think it was lone1c. But yeah, Jacoby does voiceovers for Volvo ads.
NEW GUY!!!
JAYBAYY!
BAY!!!!!
Jessi, you can use a Babelfish type application. That’s what I do (I never remember to bring my spanish dictionary home).
AY BAY BAY!!!!
Beaker!!!!
