    Hey Erin!

Any idea if the weather has cleared out of there yet?

    Hello!

Happy Friday! I had the day off and spent the day plastering and running errands. woot.

DO just said a start time would be announced soon–amazing considering all the rain.

I’ll trade you my 90 sun so we can get a weekend of Yankee bum-kicking in.

Hey, Erin: According to Don and Remy, it just stopped raining in the last 5-10 minutes. They’re trying to figure out how much of a window they have.

The mantra for tonight: Score early, and relatively often (but not so often that we can’t get through four-and-a-half with a lead!).

lone, how are you getting the Don and Remy pregame waaaay out there where you live? Are you on something other than mlb.tv?

The radar that I just checked shows another area of rain coming north from Nantucket and points south, so the window isn’t terribly large. :::crosses fingers:::

ecl: No, it was with MLB.tv–they were showing a few minutes of Don and Remy telling us about the forecast. . . .

I hope they can deliver a Yankee beating for you. That would be a wonderful gift, eh?

  13. 2008 September 26 at 7:11 pm

enjoy the game tonight if it starts when they say it will. I’ve got UConn football duty tonight ESPN2 at 8.

I’m being TOTALLY selfish, but the plus side of rain delays is that NESN shows these Sox-related shows that I don’t get to see.

    “sure-handed short-stop Julio Lugo”

Hey Erin, Happy Birthday from one September baby to another!

Is Josh pitching on Sunday by any chance? That’s Trish’s birthday…

Lone, the Don and Remy discussion must have occurred before I fired up all my websites.

Jules, the plus side of rain delays is that I actually get to eat dinner! :::runs to start fixing it, will be back after awhile:::

ecl – Beckett’s scheduled to pitch tomorrow. Wake on Sunday, I think.

Mac, that’s okay, she can have an early birthday present.

  24. 2008 September 26 at 7:19 pm

If they get rained out tonight, Beckett will not pitch until Wednesday or Thursday. Same thing if they get rained out tomorrow.

  28. 2008 September 26 at 7:21 pm

The two times i went to Fenway in 2007 Beckett pitched both games. Opening day and game 1 of the World Series.

Stiil here for a moment — Ian, are they actually talking rainouts for tonight AND tomorrow???

I’m so jealous of y’all NESN-ers who are getting to watch whatever it is you’re talking about.

Beckett was amazing in game one of the WS. Then again he was amazing during the whole playoffs.

  31. 2008 September 26 at 7:23 pm

They were earlier ecl and that was what I heard if they were rained out that Beckett would just end up starting Game 1 and throwing a light side instead

  32. 2008 September 26 at 7:24 pm

Just to let you know. It’s raining there again and the tarp is back on the field.

WRKO is saying that Daisuke has been scratched and Pauley will be starting instead, if the game is played.

  40. 2008 September 26 at 7:39 pm

Dice-K has been scratched from the start. David Pauley is now pitching

Mac: Huh. Don’t know what to make of that.

Ian and ecl: I believe that the game tonight should be playable. It might have to wait until 8.30 or 9.00, but there should be a couple of hours to get the game in (there’s almost nothing in Southern New England right now).

  42. 2008 September 26 at 7:44 pm

I can tell you it hasn’t rained here where in live in CT since about 4 PM.

  44. 2008 September 26 at 7:45 pm

None of the Boston media thinks they are going to play this game tonight.
