Rejection.

You know, I’m starting to think this is personal.

After receiving three rounds of these rejection emails last year, two (so far) this year, and never making it out of a single virtual waiting room for the last bajillion years, I’m starting to think the Red Sox have something against me. Except that I’m on their Christmas card list! And they won last year with me at the games!

There’s only one way to make this up to me, Red Sox: season tickets. Or another world championship. Or both.

I signed up too.. and entered like every contest that said “WIN TICKETS” Now I got my fingers crossed…hoping for an early b-day present…or I can just stay home and cheer and yell at the TV.

Whatta game last night though…I was pissed that it went into extra innings…can you get a video up of Mike Lowell making fun of Coco’s swing, while waiting in the dugout? That was priceless.

Being a Tampa bay transplant. Its *possible* that I could get to see the ALCS with the sox

Although with the way the trop is I am not sure If i could handle a playoff game in there.

I have registered for every chance, and I get those emails every time.

I would just die to be at a playoff game in Fenway. I was at the ALDS elimination game in Oakland in 2003. Awesome.

But to be in Fenway? I can dream.

I’ve never had any luck with the lotteries either…and I’ve been registering for 3+ years:-(

I’ll probably still end up going to the home playoff games (especially if a series clincher is at hand), but it would be nice to not pay three times the face value or more for singles to those.

If it makes you feel any better I got tickets to a game that won’t exist! However I did get tickets to 3 games this season from the sox themselves. I wish you better luck next year!

I didn’t win this year either…never have gotten the playoff lottery. But my friend Tony did…and if his Dad doesn’t want to go with him (I keep telling him that just the fact that there is a CHANCE that his Dad would choose not to go means his Dad is unworthy to go), then I have the opportunity to convince him that I am more deserving than his friend of 15 years who is a gargantuanly rabid Sox fan.

I think my chances are very slim

I’m not talking about ticket scalpers, though. Of course there are always tickets available if you’re willing and able to pony up a bunch of cash. I’m bemoaning the fact that I have been shut out of every single lottery and every single virtual waiting room for the last four years.

Then again, I’ve always had horrible luck – so it’s really no surprise.

I spent a few hours in the virtual waiting room today only to come out empty-handed. ::sigh::

or ya got to know someone who already has tickets. I have a friend who got offered to go to Sunday and Monday’s game at face value. I’ve only won a lotto when the Stros were going to be in the Series…and since I was hoping it was gonna with the Red Sox..bought them…but alas…the Stros didnt make it that year.

I swear to you, Dionysus – I had that very same idea yesterday afternoon, and queued up a post for that to publish this morning. GREAT MINDS think alike.

SoxPhan – How could you come up empty? I thought they would only send those Congrats e-mails to as many people as they had tickets for….
