The Gagne Song Was A Real Snoozer

Local musician Desmond Reed (from Melrose, MA) has hit upon a genius idea: an entire lineup’s worth of songs about each member of the Starting 9 of the Red Sox.

Plus… there’s a “bonus” track about Julio Lugo, written in classic lament format. Fantastic. (Except the song asks when he’ll “be back under Fenway lights”… Desmond: the answer is- who cares?)

My personal favorites are the Jason Bay, Dustin Pedroia and Jed Lowrie numbers.

    Very nice!

Drew’s song and Pedroia’s are great–but the Bay one takes the cake for me.

(also–new deal for Theo! Glad to see it went more smoothly this time.)

Aw, Coco should have gotten a bonus track.
My favorite is JD’s; it’s so heartfelt – almost, what’s the word? Fragile.

But really, we need a hiphop collection. When do the remixes come out?

Bay’s is my favorite, too. And the Ellsbury one is pretty catchy.

    But Papi’s? Um… what gives?

Lowell and Bay got the best (pop!) songs in the line-up, although they ALL hooked me. The Sox have a real songwriter rooting them. Who would’ve thunk? GO DESMOND REED

The Bay one is fantastic – and I love the Lowell one, too.

Oh my God I cannot stop laughing (in the best way possible).

    “Holy Cow! Jed Lowrie!”
