It just occurred to me that we did this in game 2 of the ALCS last October as well.

    THIS will end better.

Don’t make me go to the Ben & Jerrys Timlin…. that’s never a good sign.

Was that the same location of the pitch Kotsay struck out on?

  9. 2008 October 12 at 1:27 am

    Yes, Mac, it was.

  10. 2008 October 12 at 1:27 am

    Where is the strike zone?

  11. 2008 October 12 at 1:28 am

I love uninformed fans who are booing timlin throwing the ball over to first to keep the runner close.

  12. 2008 October 12 at 1:29 am

i take it farrell got tossed from the game since arguing balls and strikes usually constitutes an ejection

Ian, I’ll have you know I’m a total night owl. Especially on the weekends. That said, I may have to follow Jessi’s lead fairly soon. The asthma stuff earlier really wore me out.

    Damn walks.

  17. 2008 October 12 at 1:30 am

and thanks awful TBS announcers for letting us know farrell was ejected.

  18. 2008 October 12 at 1:30 am

Maaaaaaaaaaan. I am totally remembering pacing around my stepfather’s lake place in Vermont last October.

Are we sure we haven’t just rocketed back in time?

  22. 2008 October 12 at 1:33 am

    My mom just texted me:
“I just woke up and saw Timlin. I thought I was dreaming.”

Ok well that sucked – but hey, splitting here is pretty good for a team that only managed one other win this year at this dump.

    Jenni:

It sucks to lose, but we’re 1-1. This series is by no means over–and we knew that this wasn’t going to be a pushover.

The main thing to keep in mind is that, like the Angels, the Rays didn’t beat us in 9, and for the next three games, they can’t get a walkoff.

    Enjoy Sunday, everybody.
