I swear, for atheletes, they sure are injury-prone.

You know, I never want to see anyone get hurt, but that was hilarious.

I always wonder how Tek communicates with Diasuke on the mound. How much japanese/english do they know?

  14. 2008 October 3 at 10:56 pm

Tek just tells him Domi Arigato, Mr. Roboto

Sometimes if I miss the game, I come here in the morning and read the comments. It’s so funny. It’s bits of random conversation followed by things like Ells! Jacoby! Jacoco! Tacoby! Ells! so I think well Jacoby must’ve done well here. Followed by more bits of random conversation and then Damn! Crap! Ugh! Shit! WTF! and I think well something bad must’ve happened here.

Kristin, I agree about the thundersticks. It sounds like a bunch of cicadas in there.

  37. 2008 October 3 at 11:08 pm

E3, I usually peek at these threads when I come home after I’ve been to a game. It’s fun to see how everyone here reacted after the fact.

Whoever decided to hand out noise makers to fans at baseball games need to be shot. Rays have the cowbells and now the Angles have thundersticks. I love how Fenway does it old school and the crowd knows when and how to cheer.

Oh and I’ll throw in rally towels with this little rant. I don’t understand how waving towels around is supposed to motivate your team. I thought that the waving of a white flag stands for surrender, right?

I agree Jessi. Oooohhhh I’m so scared of the towels. Whatchyagonnado shine my shoes?

    Haha Erin.

  41. 2008 October 3 at 11:11 pm

I do love how we don’t have any prompts to cheer at Fenway.

Jessi, that’s exactly what I think whenever I see those “rally towels.” My first reaction when I see those towels is usually, “What? You’re giving up on your team already?”

And I’m glad Fenway is old school and they don’t have any of those annoying noise makers.

Hey, those towels ended up being useful for Indians fans last year…

  45. 2008 October 3 at 11:11 pm

    Robbed again. WTF

  46. 2008 October 3 at 11:12 pm

Dammit. Our 2 MVP’s have both been robbed tonight.

They handed out those ridiculous towels at Rally Monday, but they weren’t Red Sox–they were TBS Postseason towels.

The only thing mine has done thus far has been to help catch confetti.
