Can I just say that I am happy Coco contributed so much to the game last night. I like him more than Jacoby (sorry everyone) and I have been wanting to see him in the line-up more this postseason. I’m glad he got the game tying hit.

I was lucky enough to be there, too! It’s not like half the stadium left or anything…just the stupid bandwagon fans =)

And I was thinking during Dustin Pedroia’s at-bat when he knocked in the first run…before he got the hit everyone was cheering him on like crazy, and I thought: We really do have the greatest fans. Here we are, 2 outs, bottom of the 7th, down 7 runs and so close to what could be the end of the season, but do Boston fans give up? No they don’t! And we all cheered for that first run like it was a game-winner. It was incredible. It made me so proud to be a Sox fan.

I was AT the game last night, and there was a mass exodus around the 7th inning because it just appeared the game was out of hand and our offense was anemic. Then, the crown decided that they were going to get into it, cheering every single player on. Our section was yelling “JD DREW” like crazy. It got to the point that every ball and strike was cheered for (obviously, those that went in our favor). I’ve never seen it so insane at Fenway as it was after that win. And all the cars were honking and fans were screaming down Comm Ave afterwards. BEST GAME I’ve ever been to!

After the game, while I was standing in my living room and screaming like a crazy woman (you would think my poor dog would be used to this by now ;-), I yelled, “take that you pansy-ass fans who left early!”

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Sox for showing everyone what you are made of. It was really an Animal House moment – it’s time to start building the Trojan Cake. I’ll get the 10,000 marbles.

BTW…big thanks to the fans who finally made it to the game. Must have been some real problems on the Green Line. Better late than never though. Let this be a lesson.
