It has the following AWESOME tidbit: ---- Manager Terry Francona also issued a statement regarding Pedroia: "Congrats to Pedey. I think this is a great day for him and [wife] Kelli, but I also think it is a great day for our organization. Everybody is to be congratulated. With the six-year contract, I feel like I got a bump in salary because of his cribbage skills." ------ Tito will take ANY opportunity to give Pedroia a hard time about the cribbage game they play every game day. I love stupid stuff like this. I mean, that was his official statement!!! Awe.Some. Now, I do think he could have gotten more if he waited for free agency and continued to rock it like he did last year...but that's a big if. Now if only they would lock up Youk and Pap to long term deals too. Then, it would officially be Christmas as far as I am concerned. Yeah for Dusty!
