Josh Pecker

William Shatner is awesome, for many reasons– but by far, the biggest reason is because he can get away with referring to Josh Beckett on national TV as “Josh Pecker”. Of course he followed that up by referring to David Ortiz as “that black guy” who is “half black, half Mexican and half Dominican.” I’m pretty sure Captain Kirk is the only guy living who could get away with that.
Of course, all of this occurred in character on Boston Legal, as part of a test for Alzheimer’s for his character… but that doesn’t make Josh Pecker any less funny.

Well since it is your blog…here is why I loathe the man:
The long story short is that when I was a kid…a friend of mine’s mom was in a local play that the Shat was in. And let’s just saw he wasn’t the nicest man in the world. I know he was a “big fish in a freakin’ small pond” but he walked around and treated his co-stars like his personal assistants. Bring me this…bring me that. My friend’s mom said that he often would tell people that they had no right to an opinion until they starred on a tv show and until then to STFU.
And then every scene he was in…he would blatantly steal it and change the dialogue in hopes of messing up his co-stars. The play was a big deal to many of the local actors, but to him…just as excuse to behave badly and inflict tomfoolery.
So, well…never been a fan of the man.
Between Josh Pecker and Becketty-Boo … Josh is going to be punching a lot of people next season.
I enjoy watching Beckett, no matter what nickname he has. My aunt who is visiting, lives in the next complex from him. She said it’s one of the most expensive places in the area, has all the celebrities.
you are right i think shatner is one of the few people who could get away with that. that was hilarious!
Okay, I can’t stand Shatner either (especially his Priceline commercials) and I don’t watch Boston Legal, but that was freaking hilarious.
To add to the Shatner hate, I went to McGill University in Montreal, which is Shatner’s alma mater. The school named the student center after him, even though he refused to donate a dime towards it and also didn’t come to the opening. It has since been changed. I’d also like to point out that it took him 5 years to graduate from college.
