Nomar – Mr. Garciaparra if you’re nasty- was back in Boston and sitting courtside at the Celtics game tonight against the Dallas Mavericks with his old buddy Lou Merloni. Nomar still hasn’t decided if he’s returning to baseball and the Dodgers yet, but he’s got time to catch some bball while he makes up his mind.

According to the Milford Daily News, “the pair received a mostly enthusiastic response when shown on the Jumbotron to the strains of Bruce Springsteen’s “Glory Days” in the first half.”
Hey, it’s better that than if they pulled a Jason Varitek and put Nomar and Lou up on the Kiss Cam. Nobody needs to see that.

Man I totally watched that game on tv and I did not know Nomar was there until I saw that pic online. Of course I walked away to go do something else for 10 minutes in the 2nd quarter so that’s probably when they showed him.

Having been there, I disagree with the Milford Daily News.
It was a quiet-ish crowd as you might expect on Sunday afternoon. Very chill.
They gave Nomar a VERY warm welcome, and those of us who recognized Lou did the same for him.
