Yes, we’ll have another four years of Kevin Youkilis – thankyouverymuch!

Congrats to Kevin for locking down a four-year contract that will keep him in Boston through 2012 – and net him a cool $41.25 million for his trouble. Sorry, Cincinnati – you can’t have him. He’s ours.

“I never pictured myself on another team,” Youkilis said. “All my buddies back home in Cincinnati said, ‘You’ve got to come play for the Reds, we need a player like you on the Reds.’ And I said, ‘It’s not that easy.’ For me, I never saw myself on another team. I’ve always seen myself putting on that Red Sox uniform every day, putting on that ‘B’ on the hat. This is home to me.”

Awww, warthog. We’re glad to have you.

Kevin spoke with Dan Roche on Friday, and dished all about the Sox and the offseason moves.

“Warthog” – you had to say it, didn’t you?
Eh, I’m too happy about this for it to bother me
I’ve been a grinning idiot since the instant CF’s own UnDoctor IM’d me about this when the news broke – much to the amusement of the people I was talking to in my office at the time.

And you all should hit up Cyn Donnelly’s blog on WEEI. She was Red Sox Chick but changed it to Toeing the Rubber. Fun and Games to ensue!

    NICE!
This must make Gold-digger Enza REALLY stoked. And she’s knocked up, too? Way to secure alimony, lady!

I was SO excited to hear about Youk signing a deal, especially since earlier reports from his agent were that it didnt look good. He’s one of my favs….so I am so excited that I will be cheering for him for years to come.
And as to his personal life and his wife…he seems more than happy and really…is it any of our business???
