    LOL! That reminds me of my husband when he talks to my German speaking relatives. He utilizes the universal translator: speak slowly and loudly and attempt an accent associated with the foreign language.

    LOL, starr4. We were watching the Grammys last night (I had to watch the whole thing to get my Robert Plant fix). When Neil Diamond sang “Sweet Caroline,” my husband and I sang the Fenway version ;-).
    Yes, we are sooooooooooooooooooooooo ready for baseball.

    I remember Jacoby saying that especially when he was in the minors he constantly had guys coming up to him and start talking to him in Spanish, and he was just like “Uhhh”…

    I thought it was pretty funny…and I loved Saito’s response when Joshie walked up and introduced himself as Josh Beckett like Saito would not know who he is. And Saito responded with the obligatory, “Yeah, I know” but you know in his head…his thinking, “Why the hell is Josh Beckett saying como estas to me? Do I need to get 3 translators…one for Japanese…one for English…one for Beckett-speak?”"
    Ahhh….is it the 12th yet?
