Hey guys! What’s up? You’ll be interested to know that I’ve decided that I will purchase a FAILHAT next time I’m at Fenway. Not because I like it or anything; I plan to use it as a punishment, like a dunce cap, to better my life. Screw up? Put on FAILHAT. Do something completely stupid? Wear FAILHAT. Talk about a ballplayer’s physical attributes at an inappropriate time? FAILHAT.
What do you think?
@Twinkie: You’re a glutton for punishment.
;-)
Alright, boys. Once more into the breach. Let’s be 3-6 in a few hours rather than 2-7, shall we?
@jules: I really am, I suppose. But I really do need to stop doing all those things.
@Twinkie: LOL. That’s funny. Of course buying a FAILHAT is just supporting it and allowing it to live and torture us for many years to come. Bad FAILHAT…bad!
I’m still at work. Not sure I am going to be able to catch this game. If my computer works and I can get it up and running…I might watch the game while I workout. We’ll see.
Oh Wake…make that knuckleball…well, knuckle. We need a win and we need it BAD.
P.S. I am still in awe…even in the loss…of Justin Masterson last night. That’s not only great pitching, but great composure being thrown into the situation and completely capitalizing.
@shelley1005: Yeah, but at least if FAILHAT lives on a bit longer it won’t be *entirely* my fault; I saw someone wearing it when I was at work today. :/
Let’s go Wake! Get us a win!
@Twinkie: I like that idea.
Then again, I have something to confess: I bought a sparkly Sox hat. I’m not kidding. It’s a double sox FAILHAT – but not the official kind, the Twins ‘47 kind. And the double Sox are sparkly. IT’S A DOUBLE FAILHAT.
Well, la-dee-da – that was a nice inning.
@Texy: At least it’s not pink (I hope?). Then it would be a TRIPLE FAILHAT.
@Twinkie: I may have gone temporarily blind, but I did not go temporarily insane.
Oh, and it goes without saying that hat is not for the ballpark. I’m not exactly sure where it’s for… maybe a fancy nightclub with a strictly casual dress code?
Dear Sox,
Please remember to give Wake run support this time.
Love,
Twinkie
@Texy: Bedazzler!
Hey all, just dropping by to say hey. I’m at work and am swamped, but will keep Gameday going in the background so I know what’s what. Here’s hoping our boys can rally today, and that our latest round of walking wounded will be on the mend SOON!
Hello, y’all!
@Texy: !@#^&*!#@ you bought a SPARKLY Sox hat? How DARE you? Please, say it ain’t so!
And, albet a bit late, nice 1-2-3, Wake! Annndddd, not so nice Youk/Drew.
MIKEY!!!!!
@ Texy: is that a Texas-style failhat?
Remember folks, I proudly wore a plain, ole failhat all last season, and then lost it at Fenway in Sept.
MIKEY!!!
@fc: I’m becoming Big Papi!
(actually, it’s a gift for someone – but I like to pretend I’d actually wear it.)
MIKEY!!!!!!!!!!
Oh MIKEY LOWELL…me heart you!
Who needs that stinkin’ Mark Teixeira…not us!
Mikey!
I checked in just in time. Let’s win this, guys, and give Wakey a lot of run support.
Lowell? Homer? Really?
I’ll be intermittent here because I’m working, but props to my man Mikey.
I would really appreciate ESPN updating Nick Green’s uniform on GameCast. Photo shop is an easy program, fellas. And seeing a Yankees hat on him gives me the shakes.
@Kimd: When he’s healthy…no one ever said the boy could not swing a bat.
Since our bullpen is on it’s last leg…literally. I am hoping and praying that Wake meets his reputation and eats up some major innings.
Brett Anderson has 33 pitches through 2 and Wake is a perfect 6 pitches, 6 strikes. (Thank you, Gameday) Oh, and MIKEY LOWELL!
God I love Mikey.
@Shelley1005 – it’s just been so long since we’ve seen the good hitting Mikey.
Way to be there Youk.
Nice play, Youk!
Thank you youk for saving Green’s throw.
@Kimd: He hit a homerun the other day..against the Angels. I think Lowell is hitting much better than say…Papi. He’s the one I am seriously worried about. Right now he seems like a middle of the order rally killer.
Ah nice innings again Wake…2 innings…13 pitches. Nothing bad to say about that.
Crap, Ells. Get it together . . . if you’re going to get out, at least make him throw a bunch of pitches.
Alright…I am outta work, heading home….and no one let the A’s get any runs, ya hear???
Yay for GameDay video and Mikey’s HR.
Boo for Jacoby failing to get hits.
work calls…go Wake!
@Shelley1005 – I know he’s been hitting better this year. It’s just such a change from end of last year.
@Christy: He really does consistently have the shortest at-bats, doesn’t he?
now that’s how you catch a ball boys.
JACOBY! And Wake is making me a really happy girl right now.
Jacoby! With the webgem!
ELLSBURY!! Stole that!
Well, Jacoby’s short at-bats are good for something. He conserves energy to make catches like that. lol
Sweet, Wake! 23 pitches through three.
@Clarity: At least his defense is pretty good.
Oh, Big Papi. What ails you? Is it WBCitis?
@Christy: Big Papi wasn’t at the WBC long enough to get any kind of -itis
When did the Statue of Liberty move to Oakland?
NICE PLAY!
@Ian: She got tired of having to look at Yankees fans all the time. Can you blame her?
WaKe!
They’re talking about hockey. During a baseball game. Ahhhh, Oakland.
