Howdy, all! I might miss the start of this game, depending on whether or not the Giants game goes on any longer. (Curse you, Brian Wilson!)

  3. 2009 April 26 at 7:37 pm

That just means there’s more Joe Morgan for the rest of us! /RETCH

So what’s the temp in Boston right now? It’s still 80° where I am right now.

  5. 2009 April 26 at 7:42 pm

60, per weather.com — it was GORGEOUS all weekend.

Down to 60 where I am, about a mile and a half away. It’s actually feels PERFECT for a game. But let’s keep it under 4 hrs 21 min tonight, huh fellas?

So apparently Masterson showed up at The Rescue last night after the game. I just got this message on my wall from my friend…

“Kara! who’s the starting pitcher for the red sox game today? Masteson something? Whoever it is, I saw him last night. He came to The Rescue at like 10 o’clock, after the game.”

I have had the most bizarro, frustrating day imaginable. Here’s hoping that our boys will make everything better!

  9. 2009 April 26 at 7:48 pm

Hi all…it’s game 3 time. I am so excited to see Masty on the mound since I didn’t get to see him on Patriot’s Day since NY likes to make people work on a fake holiday. LOL Masty’s always been one of my favs in the bullpen.

And good news hearing that Tito brought up Bowden to make our bullpen a little more healthy tonight.

@kim: Be careful…if you mock the Sox and their long drama filled games…they’ll play for 5 hrs!

Pedey on ESPN. Love this dude so much. He’s just a baseball player. Plain and simple. He’s exactly right about playing the game just like they played it in little league. That’s exactly how it should be.

@shelley1005: Watch, it’s going to clock in at 4 hrs, 20 minutes.

I am now mentally bracing myself for Miller and Morgan.

“Baseball should be fun.” Yes, Dustin – yes it should.

The disaster that is the Giants game is now over. Hopefully the Sox game will be a lot better.

@kim: Jon Miller is awesome. Morgan and/or ESPN somehow just makes him stupid.

It’s fantastic to watch those two Yankee implosions all over again.

  17. 2009 April 26 at 7:59 pm

@Texy: Yep…and the boys of the Sox definitely play with a lot of fun.

And this gem from Tito…which sums up so much of what I love about the Sox:

“They don’t stop playing,” Red Sox manager Terry Francona said of his team. “It’s gratifying. It’s better when you win, but even when you lose tough games with this group — I think that’s why we like them so much — they don’t stop playing.”

@Mac: But together they make me long for Rex Hudler. *shudder*

  19. 2009 April 26 at 8:01 pm

I want a video loop of the Mo reaction to JayBay’s homerun. I would play it 24/7.

    LOVE LOVE LOVE.

    Get ready for JOOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEEE MORGAN!

@kim: Yeah. I wish ESPN would just fire them both. I want Miller back with the Giants all season long.

  23. 2009 April 26 at 8:03 pm

No Paps, R2 or MDC – Mikey Bowden gets a one-night-only callup.

No Johnny Damon, either – whee!

Masterson is ready to go…with a ? at the end of that sentence.

  28. 2009 April 26 at 8:06 pm

@Nikki: That was a pretty sweet pregame warmup.

@shelley1005: Because they had never heard of him until today. I guarantee Joe Morgan has no idea who he is.

@Mac: Ay yi yi…long story short, my brand-new (first ever) cell phone got hijacked and I didn’t know it. The Verizon folks have no idea how it happened, as it has never been out of my sight and only four people besides me even have the number. They’ve never seen it happen before but are currently trying to straighten it out. I obviously have cell phone FAILHAT!

  36. 2009 April 26 at 8:07 pm

  38. 2009 April 26 at 8:07 pm

@Texy: I’m sad about no R2…even though it is the smart, wise decision. I love seeing him coming into the game.

So tonight we have Oki, Bowden, Javi, Saito and Hunter available.

Oh Masty…if you could pitch deep, we’d appreciate it. I still think our bullpen is better, but the best are sitting on the bench unavailable tonight.

    NO DAMON??? Oh shucks! /sarcasm
