Hello Again, Kason
Kason Gabbard is back.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Red Sox acquired Kason today from the Rangers for cash considerations — and assigned him to AAA-Pawtucket. It is unclear whether Kason will continue to be utilized as a RP (as he was in the Rangers organization), or will flip back to a spot starter role on occasion. Long relief might be in the cards for him.
You may recall, I was a little perturbed when the Sox traded Kason for Eric Gagne at the trading deadline back in 2007. It’s good to see the aberration that was GAGNE is now essentially wiped clean from the record books.
Now if only the Rangers would send us a baby catcher…
Thanks to Rob G. for sending over the tip!

I like this. He’s recovering from elbow surgery and I hope he will be ready the last half as the season. Long relief is always a good thing.
Yay, we got a do-over. So it never happened, right?
Ah, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, who once prompted a serious discussion on whether or not his wife could be considered a cougar (former PE teacher at his high school, fifteen years older, very cute)
Welcome back, Stifler.
It is truly amazing that the debacle that was Gagne didn’t blow up in the BoSox faces. Seriously…shit show. I still hold a little resentment that that hump made the playoff roster, but Tavares didn’t.
