The assimilation process continues.
Jonathan Van Every pitched all of 2/3 of an inning, but that was enough for Josh Beckett to move in for the kill. Seeing as how JVE is a Mississippi boy, half the battle is already won – no need to train him to speak in a Southern accent or instill him with the desire to kill things with guns. All Josh has to do is program JVE with the “executing pitches” lingo, paste some stupid facial hair under his lip, stack a couple of hemp necklaces on and… BOOM. BeckettClone.
