Fashion Police: All-Star BP Jerseys
It’s time once again for that annual ritual: the parade of the sometimes weird, sometimes fugly, always slightly crazy All-Star Game batting practice jerseys! Except this time, there’s a twist: the BP unis are actually… nice-looking. No, seriously.

The typography! The bat incorporated into the logo! The callback of the St. Louis Arch! The color schemes! (yes, even the baby blue – which I dig in almost any form.) When compared with some of the recent All-Star Game unis (boring, fugly, or both), these definitely come out ahead.

Now if only we could ensure that three or more of the Red Sox suit up in these new 2009 uni versions in St. Louis next month, I’d like ‘em even more.

I dunno about the blue. I sort of still dig the ones from the San Francisco game.
but … why is the bat in two different places? i like the placement of the bat on the NL uni – it makes sense with the Cardinals’ jerseys. I don’t get putting the bat up higher and halfway behind the “American” logo.
I like these. Much better than last year’s, certainly — the white frieze is good on the stadium, but it just looked weird on the shirts.
Wow – surprisingly, these jerseys actually look good!
Those definitely blow the other uniforms out of the water. The New York All-Star Game jerseys rank second in my opinion of recent years.
But @ anne, yeah what’s up with the bat being in two different spots?
@anne: @Amanda: NATIONAL LEAGUE BIAS. They’re out to stick to the AL any way they can…
nice indeed. make them look skinnier. XDD
not jazzed about the different color side panels…otherwise not too bad.
